Buzzing on Zoom Meeting while sharing screen
When I do a Zoom meeting from my MacBook Pro M1 and share the screen from my iPad Pro 2021, I get a buzzing sound every 30 seconds.
Any solution for that?

Hi,
I spoke to an apple technician and they suggested a workaround that lets us use a wired screenshare via zoom.
1) Open the QuickTime Player app. Under FILE, click ‘New Movie Recording’
2) When the recording window opens, click on the arrow beside the record button and select your iPad as the camera option.
3) On Zoom, click SHARE SCREEN and click on the option that says QuickTime player.
This allows you to share your iPad screen through a wired connection via cable, without the buzzing noise.
I'll just add another "me too".
I want to present at the university where the wifi security (802.11x) blocks Airplay. Cable is the only option.
I have exactly the same problem.
Apple seems not to care about it at all.
Sad and frustrating..
That’s what worked for me in Ecamm as well. I removed audio when using Screenflow and it doesn’t happen if I’m using QuickTime which is an Apple application. So not sure what’s going on.
I am using M1 Air and iPad Air 4th gen; MacOS 11.6 and iPadOS 15.0.2.
This one fixes the issue for me, except when you share the sound of the iPad.
I have the same issue after upgrading my iPad Pro. Seriously Apple get this fixed!!!
I have updated to MacOS 12.01 and IOS 15.1 and I am still getting the buzzing noise when I mirror my iPad pro to my iMac with Quicktime.
It is actually the audio that I use the screen sharing for, combines the game audio with voice comms on discord in my head phones and I am not sending game sounds through the head set mic.
Absolutely ridiculous. Apple you gotta fix that. Just bought a new iPad Pro and MacBook Pro and now this.
My iPad is Air 4th gen, but I have the same problem
I tried 4 different USB-C cable (original Apple), with an iMac and a MacBook Pro 15, alway the buzzy noise every 30 seconds when using Zoom.
I have the same problem with M1 iPad Pro for a half year, and Apple just keep ignoring this problem.
I have the same issue with my iPad Air 4 and my M1 Mac mini. It's like a ship horn.
I have absolutely the same problem with M1 iPad Pro 11" Wi-Fi + 5G.
I need to get my iPad sound, so I open QuickTime player on iMac,
File - New audio recording.
There is No applications opened in iPad, so it should be like this:
But every 31 seconds there is loud buzzing sound glitch appears:
It happens every 30 or 31 seconds.
If I connecting my iPad mini 5 to iMac - there is No problems at all.
But this new M1 iPad have sound glitch.
Problem still Not solved. We need support from Apple.
This “workaround” is not a solution. For anyone who wants a direct usb-c connection with all the benefits of that, you cannot rely on Airplay. I hope the buzzing noise can be fixed with an update. If it’s a hardware issue, we’re all stuck without being able to record M1 iPad audio via a usb-c connection, which is otherwise great since it’s low latency, high quality, and doesn’t require wifi being up.
I hope Apple engineers can fix this problem!
I listed my issue here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252997468
Same issue. iMac M1 + iPad Air or iPad Pro 11 (both newest generation) doing screen share over Zoom or QuickTime. The "anomaly" is an intermittent feedbacky "vmmmm ga ga ga ga") happens every 30-60s as described... it's unmistakable to anyone who has experienced it and is reading this thread.
The QuickTime "workaround" does not work if you are sharing the iPad's sound (which I need to for my use case). Airplay does work, but, as others have pointed out, you lose stability and screen share quality.
Please solve; this is make or break for my use case.
