TikTok apps stuck on landscape mode

What did you do to get it back to normal

Yes this just started yesterday with the update from TikTok and I can’t get it to go back to portrait didn’t affect my husband‘s iPad but it is affecting mine

Same issue! I was using it last night on my IPad 6gen and it worked fine. TikTok had an update today snd now it’s stuck in landscape mode. Seems there is no real fix.

Finding a live that others mentioned totally fixed the problem. To a sec and shifting around hit it quickly went in to portrait and stayed there! Hope they fix this bug ASAP.

This is not an Apple issue. Tiktoc made the change.

This fix works for me if I find a live in my scrolling feed. Lives in inbox will not work. It still takes a few tries though.

i have also been having this promblem. On my iPad mini. And when I got to make a video on tiktok then it goes portrait but when I go to edit the video and I try to edit a text it goes over the time bar and it’s like in the corner of the screen it’s really annoying

OK it seem to work after about five tries I’m gonna go back into TikTok now and see if it stayed. Once I close TickTock and went back in and it’s back to landscaped only you shouldn’t have to do that every time you want to do you some thing in portrait mode either Apple need to send out a fix or TickTock does

Tiktok app has always functioned in Portrait mode on my iPad, until yesterday. Now I can’t get it out of landscape mode. My iPad screen rotation is not on lock. Tried restarting iPad, also uninstalled app and reinstalled it. To no avail.

I don’t understand how this just suddenly started happening yesterday. Nothing has changed on my iPad.

iPad is running iOS 14.6.

Any suggestions?

Well, I'm glad I'm not alone! But this is super frustrating! APPLE, WHY IS TIKTOK STUCK IN LANDSCAPE?! I am on iPad pro11 and it seems like everyone who is having this problem is on an iPad. Mine started this morning, June 25 2021, super annoying! TikTok is not a landscape mode app and as a content creator who only uses an iPad I am very upset as I can no longer film a video properly inside the app! What the **** am I going to do now, I don't have a phone just the iPad? This blows. Get it fixed Apple!

I am seriously going to lose my mind if I can’t get this fixed, it’s only on my iPad with TikTok running in landscape mode and it just happened all of a sudden overnight, it’s driving me nuts I’ve tried everything I’ve uninstalled I reinstalled I’ve rebooted so many times that my finger is sore, all software it up to date, etc. etc.!! what the heck?????? HELLLLPPPPP

I went to live feed. 4 times. When it changed back to portrait mode, the X to close it out was cut off on the right corner. And half of the chat screen is cut off on the left. I can’t get to the X to close out of Live. I have to completely close the app to get out of it. And then of course I’m still stuck in landscape mode

as anyone managed to sort this problem out yet with being stuck on landscape. Tried live videos and a tiktok live once got it back to portrait, then it went back to landscape. Even if I watch any live video it just stays on landscape and then have to refresh the page to get off it. I am using an ipad pro which is a few years old.
