What is the max amount of money I can put with gift cards in the App Store?

There's a whole bunch of posts from late 2020 showing a message saying:

"Exceeds Balance Limit.

Your gift card or code could not be redeemed at this time. Your daily starting balance and contributions cannot exceed $2,000.00"
