Can't find the way to turn on my personal hotspot on XR iphone

Hi All,

None of the suggestions on your service page helped me. The thing is that me and my daughter both have XR iphones and the same mobile carrier (Lifecell). There is activated and valid hotspot option on her phone. When I'm trying to turn on mine: the system message appears "To enable personal hotspot on this account, contact lifecell".

I did contact them. They assured me that they have nothing to do with this bug, they haven't restrict the hotspot for my account/device.

I can't turn it on both using "Mobile Data" settings (system message) and swipe window with bluetooth, airdrop and airplane mode setting (the personal hotspot option is disabled and no matter how many times I click on it or hold it for several seconds - nothing happens, it is not responding).

The problem apeared after the last iOS update to the version 14.6.

Please advice what I should do next to make it work.

Hi Kateryna!

I had the same problem with iPhone XR and lifecell. Here are the steps that helped me:

Go to Setting -> General -> About -> Coverage Expired
You will see some message asking you to update something related to lifecell
Tap on the update button
Now your Personal Hotspot should work

Don’t ask me how I get this steps, I just was looking around to solve this problem :)
