After a new software update, apple music began to lag. Songs from the library that I downloaded to downloads to listen to offline do not play completely. The problem is that when I listen to downloaded music without the Internet, it plays no more than 15 seconds. Then it stops. For this month I have not yet used the application normally ... I tried to delete all downloads and install again but it doesn’t work.

I had a similar issue (iPhone 12 pro, iOS 14.6) and this is how i solved it:
open settings
click on your picture/name on the top to open your apple ID
click on Media and Purchases.
click on sign out (Heads up: this will sign you out from media services such as apple music, news, etc. and also will delete all the already downloaded music)
sign back in with your apple ID
restart your phone
Head to apple music, and re-download the songs you wanted.
My lossless songs would only play for 15 seconds in offline mode, after this it was fixed.

For me it has started to stop at 15 seconds sometimes since loseless music happened. It doesn’t happen all the time, I would say it happens half of the time.
I am so frustrated now. All I want after a long day of work is to listen to my favorite music to cheer myself up. Please fix this soon apple!!
Noticed to have the same problem on iPhone 8 with IOS 14.6 and Apple Music. Yesterday used it with CarPlay. Songs of new Playlist „3D-Audio“ play for 15s and stop followed by a crash restarting CarPlay. Procedure reproducible. Now we have Dolby Atmos and crashing app. Great!
After calendar problems with standard notifications not synchronized from Mac and 5 months of weekly support with no solution now Apple Music fails.
Really Apple software quality more and more becomes crap in all ranks.
And no, I don‘t wanna reset the iPhone anytime Apple fails! Spends my lifetime!

Am having same issue with my Apple music. I be playing a song and all of a sudden it stops producing sound at all it shows that the music is paused n not playing I have to close my Apple music every time it happens n still not play I have to listen to podcast know ?? I want a permanent solution please

I‘m having the same issue ever since the last IOS update all music that I downloaded before the update was playing just fine but when this issue kept happening I deleted my whole library and downloaded again and now I can’t listen to anything offline even. Every song literally stops at 15s
I have the same issue. It's frustrating to remove downloaded contents and redownload it all over again.
Main device is iPhone XS (iOS 14.6), also using airpods pro. No issues with wifi streaming, just on downloaded music for offline use.
My subscription's gonna autorenew this 10th. Im considering to switch to spotify over this bug. :(
I also got this problem. For me each music that I purchased in itune have this problem. I think this problem cause by different sound quality on itune and apple music. Actually they should split each version of sound quality and let user choose which version that they want to play or download. Apple music try to make everything easy but the application is not smart enough. This bug is most stupid bug that cause by app designers.

The wanted solution here is being able to play the downloaded music (online/offline) using the new audio features (lossless/spatial audio / Dolby atmos) smoothly.
Yeah, I agree, for now, for those who aren't lucky enough to get it working with the new audio features that are the only way to use apple music, or they can just use other services.
Let's just wish for the fix soon :)

I am having the exact same problem. I quick Google search sent me to this very popular topic, so this is obviously a common problem. I tried every possible solution suggested on this thread and the problem remains. I have switched back to Spotify for the time being. Pretty annoying because I had recently committed to permanently switching the Apple Music.
Can Apple please fix this because it’s starting to be a pain in the butt.
Thinking of opting out and asking for a refund because I can’t pay for the internet used to stream the music and pay the subscription again!!!!

I had been having trouble with lossless since I started using it… first, when using a song from Apple Music (with active lossless downloaded music) in my alarm, the alarm didn’t ring at all…
Now I’m boarding a plane and found out all my music can’t be listened to without wifi or cellular, so no music in my plane. Music suddenly stops at 15s and doesn’t work anymore.
I boarded a plane today too and as I open Apple Music and start playing downloaded songs only, I realize every song stops at 15 seconds. Songs I listened to earlier with no problem, they all stopped. Definitely moving to Spotify after my subscription expires.
Happens to me as well. Not only on downloaded but also with other songs while using both WiFi and cellular. Have an iphone 12, 2 month old. Bugs with and without headphones. Sure it’s Apple not my phone’s fault.
