FinalCutPro 10.5.3 Crashes on Exporting Any File

When hitting Next... and Save on Export dialog, FCP just simply crashes. A few moment system dialog shows up "Final Cut Pro Quit Unexpectedly".

I have tried these :

Reinstall FCP
Delete All Libraries
Reset Preference
Try export few codecs - HEVC (either mov and mp4) and ProRes 422 LT
Try few bunch of vdo files

None could solve. Anybody has the same issue here ? Did not have this issue before 10.5.3.

Intel MacBook Air 2020, Big Sur 11.4, FCP 10.5.3, Compressor 4.5.3

For those who are not be able to solve this issue, based on other user who has contacted Apple, looks like we will have to wait for an update for this. But if you have a backup of previous FCP. I suggest to roll it back right now since it would work perfectly. According to nahumyamin.

I've reverted to the previous working version of FCP (10.5.2) from my time machine backup, and no issue with exporting. The application works as expected and in the same way as before.

I suspect there is an issue with the new released version, I will keep this previous version and wait to see if there is an update or fix from Apple."

Thanks for both of you for trying out on your 16GB system. May I know if you have got the same OS/FCP/Compressor version as mine ? So I will reedit my previous comment if it is no longer valid.

I don't have any other software installed. Also I am using stock FCP right out the box without any plugin, just compressor installed.

I have made sure English is my only language but still no luck. :-(

Looks like nothing I can do to fix but wait for Apple to push update.

Luis doesn’t reside in the US, nor Alchroma, nor Ian Brown, though I believe they all run English systems.

I don't think so. I don't believe any of the three I mentioned would have their region set as US. I'll play with it some more.

One more thought, the first region setup might not need to be US exactly but any other regions that use English might not see a problem ? Maybe ?

Yes.

I am running Region Australia.

Primary Language English.

No issues regarding exports here at this time.

I also have this problem with iMovie. It only started happening within the last week.

Yes, iMovie is also being effected by the same issue. I believe they share the same encoder core.
