FinalCutPro 10.5.3 Crashes on Exporting Any File

When hitting Next... and Save on Export dialog, FCP just simply crashes. A few moment system dialog shows up "Final Cut Pro Quit Unexpectedly".

I have tried these :

  1. Reinstall FCP
  2. Delete All Libraries
  3. Reset Preference
  4. Try export few codecs - HEVC (either mov and mp4) and ProRes 422 LT
  5. Try few bunch of vdo files

None could solve. Anybody has the same issue here ? Did not have this issue before 10.5.3.

Intel MacBook Air 2020, Big Sur 11.4, FCP 10.5.3, Compressor 4.5.3

For those who are not be able to solve this issue, based on other user who has contacted Apple, looks like we will have to wait for an update for this. But if you have a backup of previous FCP. I suggest to roll it back right now since it would work perfectly. According to nahumyamin.

"[UPDATE]

I've reverted to the previous working version of FCP (10.5.2) from my time machine backup, and no issue with exporting. The application works as expected and in the same way as before.

I suspect there is an issue with the new released version, I will keep this previous version and wait to see if there is an update or fix from Apple."

Hope this also helps you.

The same exact thing happened to me today! I have done the same things as you and whatever I do when I click save, the app crashes. I need to export things urgently and have no idea what to do in the mean time. Do I just wait for the update and not edit anything in the mean time or is there anything that I can do to solve this?? I'm desperate, it's not letting me work. Don't know if taking my laptop to an apple so they can help fix it would actually work or I'd just be wasting people's time because it doesn't work. Any tips or advice is welcome! Thanks in advance from a very panicked user lol

My case, I don't have other language packs installed just English US selected at the welcome screen. However, I will take a look on language section in system preference maybe try something there, I will update a finding here later.

As of now, still no legit solution so far. The only thing that does not make FCP crash is to export non-audio clip but in reality, what is the point of video without audio.

Aside from this problem, does anyone knows how we can download previous FCP version from Apple ? As my knowledge, we cannot.

I have exactly the same problem as others do!

The details of mine are as follows:

iMac 2019

macOS Big Sur 11.4

6-Core Intel Core i5

16 GB DDR4

4 GB Radeon Pro 560X

FCPX 10.5.3

I have already reinstalled FCPX and deleted other languages in the system but the crashing carries on whenever I hit 'next' to export a film. And the pop-up window shows 'Final Cut Pro quit unexpectedly' attached below.

Does anyone have a final solution?

Many thanks in advance!!!

Thank you for that, Bizzare but it actually worked!

After updating the FCP it would crush everytime when I tried to share. In my case the crush happened as soon as I clicked on the save window. Nothing worked, including reinstalling the FCP. I changed the region as you suggested and I can now share at least for the first few times I tried!
