iPod touch disabled (forgotten passcode) need to reset in Big Sur, without iTunes
I realize that with Big Sur OS11.4, I need to manage this iPod and other OS devises in Finder. When I connect the version 5 iPod (model A1509) via USB to the MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020) (through a CalDigit TS3+ hub), the named device (My Name's iPod touch) appears in the Finder Locations area. The only option I can see is "To sync this Mac with your iPod, click trust, then tap Trust of the device." However, the iPod is disabled, so it seems the Trust action can not be completed. That spinning "progress" icon just keeps spinning... The only other action its seems is to Eject the device. I do not mind a method that involves a complete refresh, that deletes all data. I just want to be able to use my device again.
