Apple TV displays information at top of screen when watching movies - then disappears

Apple 4K TV displays information at top of Sony 4K television screen when watching movies - then disappears... It does this in a rhythmical fashion every few minutes which distracts from the enjoyment of streaming movie content from Apple TV only ( does not happen on other Fetch set top box I have )... Could this be a HDMI cable problem ???... I've changed the cables twice now with brand new high speed 4K HDMI cables but perhaps I'm using the incorrect type ???...

Anyone else had this problem previously ???...

I know of one way to get Apple TV to show stream information, and that involves Xcode, i.e. nothing accidental. [Pair from within Xcode to an Apple TV box, to add a Developer menu, where you can activate ‘Playback HUD’. The information is displayed until that feature is turned off again (it doesn’t disappear and re-appear by itself during one stream). It would show in distinct left-aligned bold yellow text.]

If you see no Developer menu in Settings, then your issue is different.

Any other type if information display overlay is not from Apple TV, and you may need to search your other equipment settings instead.

It is not possible that the HDMI cable causes this. Those are passive, and do not add things on screen.

I haven’t got a picture right now ( I’m working away from home ) but the information I recall that is displayed across the top of the television screen is numbers of the resolution indicating it is streaming in 4K ( 3840 x 2160 ) along with some other information …

It displays for around 10 seconds then disappears and cycling through again roughly every few minutes…
