Can't upload songs to library for iTunes matching

I can't upload any songs to my library for matching at Itunes match.

Uploading song has status - trying to match at Itunes Store.

And this status isn't changing at all.

Changing accounts, using other wifi networks - nothing helps.

The Problem began at Thursday. Before that day everything was OK.

Oh - and there is NO problem with downloading already matched songs.

Well, I wanted to waste two hours of my life and I sure did by trying to contact Apple support regarding the issue. They made me try the typical things of log out / log on, uncheck iCloud Music Library and recheck. I even did an uninstall and reinstall of iTunes since a service agent found a communities post saying this fixed the issue back in 2019. Nothing helped as we knew it wouldn't. Almost like they couldn't comprehend that Apple might have an issue with their service. (But the iTunes Service status is Green on the website? lol) I tested loading an album into iCloud (an album previously already matched that I had downloaded and was fixing meta data prior to re-importing into iTunes Match) and 6 out of 18 matched but looks like the process timed out and 12 are now in the "Waiting" iCloud Status. Only thing I can do is either delete them from the library or select File -> Library -> Update iCloud Music Library and hope more match or upload. So far not making much progress as the Library Update usually times out with no progress after 30 minutes. My recommendation would be to not mess around on your side and we just have to wait this one out. Maybe more tickets open will get supports attention.

Hi, all. Uploaded 18 albums and 26 singles in the past couple of hours. Was very slow but speed has picked up in the past hour or so, so looks like the issue is resolved at this time. Just hope that it continues. Thank you to everyone for raising these issues in the forum but disappointed that Apple don't even acknowledge that there was an issue. Been without the service for nearly 4 weeks but will Apple offer a partial refund or extension of current service - probably not..... lol

Mine wasn't working this morning and I was very discouraged seeing all your happy results. But then, like a miracle, it was on again. I deleted one CD that stayed stuck and then downloaded it again and now it's there. It wasn't our emails to the CEO and VP of Apple because those emails bounced back but finally someone in their tech department got busy. Well done Apple Community.

Hello, thank you for keeping us informed about this iTunes Match issue. This is now working properly for me and my CD are uploaded / matched correctly. Thank you for your actions with Apple Support.


Nevertheless, I have discovered a new issue that is likely linked to iTunes Match : most of my tracks that are in status "matched", that have been matched prior to his outage, are now not playable any more.


They play well during about 15 seconds, there the sound is suddenly inaudible as it is chopped and metallic. This is happening with most of my matched tracks with lossless music tracks only.


Do any of you see the same problem ? Thank you for letting me know.

Hi,

I have had this problem. I have deleted the track then readded/ rematched. This usually works but on a few occasions the matched file is not available as lossless.


I have also identified faulty tracks when trying to download lossless versions. I get an error message and will not download. Deleted track and readded.


This was happening before the recent problems. I have not had a chance to see if this is working.

I can join the ranks of iTunes Match users that have finally got back to 'normal service' but it took a couple of re-boots and clearing of DNS as suggested above by TuringTest2.


But I still cannot get rid of the '15 seconds before white noise' problem when streaming my library from my iPhone or iPad.


This is clearly a completely different issue to the non matching problem we have all be so frustrated about on this thread.


My solution was to turn off lossless streaming on my mobile devices - Settings - Music - Audio Quality - and then turn off Lossless Audio.


After that all tracks play as normal.

I have not yet determined whether this only happens on 'matched' tracks or 'uploaded' tracks, but after having all the problems of the past 2 weeks, right now I am happy just to be able to stream my library!
