Apple Image Capture Error

Previous thread on this topic being closed, I have started a new one.


Using an Epson 2710 Eco Tank printer I got this error this morning when trying to scan a document. Looking on here I could not see a solution so went through a power cycle - and guess what? It worked. Why the old AirPrint system could not be left alone is beyond me. It worked flawlessly. Hope this helps one or two folk. R-

The reason you aren't getting a response, is because El Capitan is not that frequently used. If you are using El Capitan and the scanning is not working with the printer, you may need to visit Epson's website and see if they still have a driver for your printer and El Capitan. If not, you may want to check Hamrick Vuescan, or SANE drivers for the older operating system, or using the Twain capture option in Photoshop's menu or similar software.


Connect the printer via USB to force the issue. Airprint may only be supported on newer drivers.
