Ios 14.7 after update my face id is not working

A select few third parties would be able to repair this, it’s regarded the most difficult microsoldering repair as far as apple devices are concerned. Otherwise there isn’t one I’m afraid

What about downgrading to an older version

Same, on my iPhone XS Max the face id suddenly stopped working, I tried to remove it and register my face again but it said that iPhone needs to cool down before using Face ID, even though my iPhone is not hot and operating at an ideal temperature also my screen is never replaced it is as it is since day one. Truetone suddenly is missing as well as the selfie of protrait effects is blinking and malfunctioning. Currently on 14.7.1

You had the choice to upgrade or not. You can turn it off.

If you have iphone X or XS with this problem then contact Apple Support (as 6x6 has constantly suggested.)

If there are any older iOS versions that are licensed that could work. Though you would need a pc/mac to do that

I'm starting to think the same as well. You are the 3rd person mentioning the issue and I've also seen it on other forums. As of this writing, no solution is known. I'll keep my eyes open and post back when I find a solution.

This is unethical practice from Apple to force people to upgrade. I have similar issue and Apple service center want me to upgrade and pay £500 claiming this is not caused by latest upgrade whereas many people reporting this isssue.

I don’t get an error message. However, I am prompted to enter my password more than once. I now got to the point where I reset my phone and reset Apple ID. I cannot even use it at all!!! Face ID doesn’t read

don’t know if someone even can tell, but as factory reset did not work, does this mean that it is a hardware issue which can’t be fixed with any update? I am sick of having a 1 KUSD phone which is not working properly since one month…

Hi. Just to add, I'm getting this error, too. I have updated as well to iOS 14.7.

I've tried disabling Face ID and restarting my iPhone. But this error is still present.

I'm using an iPhone XS.

Thanks. I tried that. I’ve reset Face ID. But the option to set it up again is greyed out because of the error.

I have the same problem after updating the ios 14.7 !! I have no issue before the upgrade and that why I pretty much sure is not the Hardware issue !!! apple, pls fix !!
