I was having the same issue using the Apple TV app on my LG TV. Some episodes would play, others would say Video Not Available and to check my internet connection. This happened for different shows. It wasn’t until I started seeing problems updating my software on Apple devices that I dug deeper and found a solution that has worked for me!
I went into my routers (I have eero) settings and changed the DNS servers to Custom, overriding the default settings. Delete/replace current DNS IP(v4) addresses to 1.1.1.1 (primary) and 1.0.0.1 (secondary). These are Cloudflare servers. The problem immediately resolved after my router restarted.
You can do this to your router that way every device connected to wifi will default to these settings, or, you can go into your wifi settings in each device like your Roku (usually under ”advanced” settings) and change the DNS manually for each device. Hope this helps! Definitely helped me!

My wife may have found a solution:
1 Go to the previous episode that you can play.
2 Fast forward to almost the end of the episode.
3 Play to the end of the episode.
The next episode automatically loads. For us the problem episode started playing. Hope this helps someone!
This worked for us for getting a single episode to play when using Roku:
1 go to almost the end of the previous episode you could play.
2 press play.
The previous. episode plays to the end. Then, the problematic episode auto loads and plays (Lord willing and the creek don’t rise).
Hope this proves helpful to someone
I tried many streaming service devices and nothing worked. The only thing I was able to get to work was to by a $50 connector to use with my hdmi cord to connect the ipad mini to the TV.
Shame on you apple for not allowing my ipad to send the mirror image to theSony TV over blue tooth or wifi like all the other apps on the ipad mini does. I will not be a permanent subscriber. Once the shows I am watching are done, I will drop apple tv plus.
I was able to watch s2, e1-3 last night by connecting my laptop to the tv via hdmi as a monitor. Still no luck using Roku.
Faison-boy,
Are both your iPhone and Roku all up-to-date? Does that continue after restarting both your iPhone and Roku per the steps in the following article? If screen mirroring or streaming isn't working on your AirPlay-compatible device
If so, you’ll want to reach out to Apple Support so they can look into this particular behavior further: Contact Apple Support
Regards.
Exact same problem. Roku support walked me through all the reboots and updates of both the device, network changes, apple app re-install, etc. They can’t seem to understand that if other content plays, it must be related to something in the app or specific episode. They blamed Apple, and here you guys seem to be blaming Roku. The poor user is stuck in the middle. What if I don’t want to watch Ted Lasso with a bunch of HDMI cables and an old stuttering laptop without the processing power to run 4K?
Would Apple Support please call ROKU and fix this? There are about 100 users here who have the same problem; that means thousands out in the world. It cannot be that hard to replicate and trouble shoot.
FYI, this happened with all episodes of “Physical” as well. In that case, we watched the first episode on an IPad on the same home network just fine. It turned out that selecting an episode on the ROKU like Episode 4 did not work, but if you let an like episode 3 run to the end and self-select the next episode in the chain, it worked fine. Some serious software glitches, guys.

Hello Faison-boy,
Thanks for reaching out through the Apple Support Communities about that difficulty with watching season 2 of Ted Lasso.
Are you able to watch other content on your Roku without any difficulties?
What device are you attempting to use with AirPlay?
Also, do you experience that behavior if you attempt to watch season 2 on another device?
Hopefully those details will help to further isolate and address this behavior.
Take care.
Same thing here. TV+ has good performance from morning till prime time viewing.
It’s time to invest in faster headend infrastructure (Apple). I tested the service many time. During low and high usage.
After successfully using my laptop to tv as a monitor to watch Ted Lasso, I tried it again on my Roku. This time it worked. Bizarre!
Interestingly, the aberrant behavior only appears on my Roku 4660x The Roku Express, in another room, plays the affected Ted Lasso just fine. Also noticed the same issue with the new series SEE.
I’m experiencing the exact same issue. Season 1 plays just fine, season 2 ep. 2 will also play, but trying to play season 2 episodes 1 or 3 I get the exact same message on my roku. Both episodes will play on my iPhone but when I try to play it in the roku or cast it to the roku from my phone via AirPlay I get error messages
No one is blaming Roku - we’re all here on the Apple Forum because we know the problem is with them. Otherwise we’d be on a Roku forum. Thanks for calling Roku though and reporting back to confirm the problem is indeed Apple.
I have tried that.
I have scrolled down past all the trailers and cast information to where it gets two Other Seasons. When I click on that, it just brings me back to season one. I have tried to find season two on my Apple TV several different ways nothing works. This is very frustrating
I have tried connecting my computer to the TV but it only plays 8minutes and then shuts off and goes back to the begining. I have tried twice. Same thing everytime. Season 2 episode 1 ted Lasso
Please help!
