I sent out an email from my MacBook Pro (mid-2015) running Mojave with text and an attachment. I opened the same email on my MacBook Air (2018) running Big Sur and I cannot see the text of the message, only the attachment. Why is that?

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes.
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
