Cannot do a forced restart on my iPhone X

My phone has frozen on the Google workspace page. I have tried holding the up volume key for 3 seconds, down volume key for 3 seconds and then holding the power button down - BUT NO Forced restart. My phone is receiving messages on the front screen and notifications but I cannot answer. If I hold the button on the left side of my phone down for any length of time I get the Siri symbol appearing that the bottom of the screen. I had hoped I could do a forced restart and all would be well but after mutiple attempts it has not worked. I also removed the screen cover as it had a crack in the plastic and I thought that might be causing an issue but I can't unlock the phone and I cannot power off the phone. Help!!

I read the link for iphone for forced restart and it did not work either. I waited until the battery was depleted and plugged the phone into the charger. When the battery was fully charged the phone was no longer frozen. This was also a suggestion in the Apple link. Whew.....

  • iPad models that don't have a Home button: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then press and hold the Power button until the device restarts.

This is exactly what I described I had repeatedly tried. I was told to hold for 3 seconds for the volume buttons and then was told to press and quickly release and that is what I have done. The only things that happens when I follow your Exact instructions is the Siri icon comes up at the bottom of the frozen screen and remains until I release the side button.

how long do I need to hold the Power Button until it restarts as all that happens now is the siri icon

Thank you for your help and response.
