Battery drain in iOS 14.7.1

I too am facing huge battery drain after 14.7.1. Not lasting even till evening. Used to go for 1.5 days easily before that. Phone not even an year old

Nope, at least for my 6s — it is draining much more rapidly since 14.7.1, regardless of whether I’m connected to WiFi or just cellular.

Not in my case since my phone just died right after it hits 5%

Mine is shutting down like hours now too! 6 s +

Reset network setting help temporary for me too. The battery is constantly draining for iphone XS ever since update to 14.7.1.

This could definitely be a software issues. Apple please issue an update!!!!! My Iphone is almost unusable at this point.....

Thanks for the tip. I have reset my network settings (iPhone 11 Pro) and today so far the usage looks a lot more like pre-14.7.1 levels.

I did the reset yesterday and it didn’t appear to make a difference initially, but after a full charge overnight it looks better. Will update again later.

I have this too, From the upgrade of 14.6. But yesterday I upgraded 14.7.1 still the same problem have.

The battery drained very quickly like if I charged 100% and even though I have not touched the phone, check it within an hour it shows 85% or 80%

Background running also I checked. Nothing there. And I have done a network reset also.

Model: iPhone XS Max. Battery health is 100% but this drain problem only started happening after the upgrade of 14.6 till now(14.7.1)

iPhone 11 Pro Max 256gb…I reset my network settings as I’ve seen some comments suggest that as a solution. It doesn’t appear to be a solution for me. My phone is also always warm. This recently began after 14.7.1.

I updated my iPho 8+ a couple of days ago and noticed yesterday and today (8/2/2021) that the battery is draining at a tremendous rate. At midnight last not the phone was at 100%. When I got up this morning it was at 71%. I haven’t used it since then (except to write this message) and it is at 36%. It is only 1:59pm.

I went searching for this kind of thread because since 14.7.1, my iPhone 12 Pro cannot make it through a day without another charging session. Yesterday, at 1 pm, the battery was down to 20%. My battery health if 95%.

What will Apple do about this? Does going through their support regiment produce any positive results?

I tried a chat and after 10+ minutes gave up on the '2 minute' wait.

I then used the phone and eventually that worked.

I was told to take my iP 12 Pro to the local store which is what I will do later today.

My 11 pro was having overheat issue with 14.7.. with 14.7.1 the overheat went away but the battery drained fast. Tried the stuff other said on this thread including the normal reboots and no fix. While looking through settings for what I might be able to do to mitigate the issue I decided to turn off “hey Siri”, for me it seems to help and battery life little closer to the way it was before the drain issue.
