Battery drain in iOS 14.7.1

Hi,

Battery drain is happening after updated to iOS 14.7, the percent is jumping from 77% to 71% without almost any use, I am using the iPhone 11 Pro normal and my battery health is still on 100%.

Is anyone experiencing this too?

There IS a fix that works, guys. I had battery drain issues after 14.7.1 and now I don’t. First thing you can try: Settings/General/Reset/Reset Network Settings. Then charge it and wait a couple hours. If that doesn’t fix the battery drain, you can connect your iPhone to a Mac (if you have one) and do a system restore via Finder. When that’s complete, set it up as a new phone. If you don’t have a Mac, do an iCloud backup, then go to Settings/General/Reset/Erase all Content and Settings. Set it up as a new phone. Once you’ve set it up as a new phone, if you don’t want to manually redownload your apps and customize your settings, you can restore again from your backup. I don’t think this will reinstall the battery drain “bug.” Give those things a try and let us know if the suggestions did or did not work for you.

All-

I did eventually notice improvement after resetting network settings. I had previously posted I didn’t notice a change. It just took a couple hours after the reset. I also did a total factory reset and set up my phone as brand new by connecting it to my MacBook Pro. I probably didn’t HAVE to do this, but I figured, why not? My phone’s battery usage is now superb. (iPhone 11 Pro Max 256gb)

GUYS I THINK I FOUND THE FIX.

I reinstalled iOS in my iPhone. Here's the steps for you to reinstall the iOS with your Mac-

So please connect your iPhone with your Mac first, then Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold the Side button until you see the recovery mode screen.

Then on your Mac, you will get the option to restore or update, choose Update. Your computer will try to reinstall iOS or iPadOS without erasing your data.

This has worked for me, Battery life is a lot better.

Also I don’t know how to reinstall with a Windows computer but I am sure the steps are online.

I don’t want to update system to 14.7.1 but I had to do that cuz mobile data stop working for no reason, now I have battery issues #apple #battery_bugs"

Michal ~ What model of iPhone is it?...

Settings > General > About > Model Name

Does it still have its original battery?

And what's the Maximum Capacity % here?...

Settings > Battery > Battery Health

The solutions don’t provide a lasting or consistent fix. I reset my network settings and the improvement lasted a day or two. I did a backup and restore and again the improvement lasted a day. I closed all my open tabs in Safari and this seems to have fixed the problem most of the time, but I still get random days where the battery drains to 50% from full charge within 2-3 hours when idle.

I have an iPhone 11 Pro. Battery health was 96% before updating to 14.7.1, after the update it dropped to 86%. The phone hasn’t been jailbroken or had any modifications made to it.

I work in IT and know what I’m doing when it comes to isolating an issue. I’ve been back and forth with this problem and I still don’t have an explanation other than a fix being rushed out to fix a security flaw without proper testing. Sometimes that is fair enough and the security issue warrants a fix that causes other problems. It would be nice if Apple acknowledged this in some ways if it was the case though…..
