Battery drain in iOS 14.7.1

Hi,

Battery drain is happening after updated to iOS 14.7, the percent is jumping from 77% to 71% without almost any use, I am using the iPhone 11 Pro normal and my battery health is still on 100%.

Is anyone experiencing this too?

There IS a fix that works, guys. I had battery drain issues after 14.7.1 and now I don’t. First thing you can try: Settings/General/Reset/Reset Network Settings. Then charge it and wait a couple hours. If that doesn’t fix the battery drain, you can connect your iPhone to a Mac (if you have one) and do a system restore via Finder. When that’s complete, set it up as a new phone. If you don’t have a Mac, do an iCloud backup, then go to Settings/General/Reset/Erase all Content and Settings. Set it up as a new phone. Once you’ve set it up as a new phone, if you don’t want to manually redownload your apps and customize your settings, you can restore again from your backup. I don’t think this will reinstall the battery drain “bug.” Give those things a try and let us know if the suggestions did or did not work for you.

Bro, at this point I think all hopes lost until apple pull their head in and fix their issues and or make replacement batteries cheaper for us consumers otherwise I’ll have to have a look and see what other android phones there are because this is getting out of hand with all this battery drain 🥲, just why do apple make these terrible decisions to us customers?? Why can’t they just respect that not all users have the money to upgrade their iPhones to the newest iPhones?? Why can’t we just enjoy the iPhones we’ve got 🥲🥲 just please apple FIX!! FIX!! FIX!! Well, since my battery is totally degenerate, how do you explain the fact that on the same battery on the ios 14.5.1 system, I could use the phone for 16 hours. And earlier on the same battery on ios 14.2 I had the same problem as I have now on 14.7.1, what suddenly on 14.5.1 my battery repaired itself?

I will also mention that I used the special version of ios 14.5.1 because my phone worked flawlessly, and I did not want to update the device because on the forum I read that problems with 14.2 returned. Unfortunately, I was forced to update, because suddenly my applications stopped working when I was using mobile data, they only worked when I was connected to wi-fi, even restarting the network settings did not help. So don't write me stupid things and don't justify a badly written system ....

I am done, I will not argue with you.

Same for me on an iPhone 6s! This was after an online chat with Apple Support where the person recommended I upgrade to 14.7.1. The battery percentage now goes into freefall.

Probably the worst thing is I use my 6s with a VR 360° camera which attaches to the phone.

I’d really like to be able to downgrade the iOS and have been looking for ways to do this.

I’m not impressed because Apple Support recommended going to 14.7.1 :(

I have lost way too much battery health here 😞, apple shouldn’t be treating their customers like this and making us constantly buy new products because we don’t have unlimited money and plus performance and cellular connection issues are plagued on my iPhone, they need to fix this ASAP , this is very disappointing and isn’t worth its money if this is all they do 😠😭

Who knows what normal idle battery drain should be? For example, I have 8% battery drain overnight (8-9 hours). Is it ok? I had this percentage starting from 14.6 to 14.7.1

and it doesn’t matter on/off WiFi, Bluetooth, etc

my device iPhone XS Max (100% battery health, I bought new device last month)

I tried reset settings, network settings: no changes (but did not try reset+erase)

p.s. have no any problems on iPad 2017 (14.7.1)
