Offline dictation not working iPhone SE

I recently purchased an iPhone SE 2020 version and I find that for whatever reason, despite the option being enabled, the offline dictation feature does not work. I also have an iPhone XR and the feature works just fine even when I’m off-line, but on my iPhone SE for some reason the feature doesn’t work when offline. I’ve tried to toggle on off the feature, restart the phone, and have it updated to the latest operating system but nothing works.

We can understand wanting to get the offline dictation working, and we'll be happy to look into this with you further. To start, does the dictation not start at all? Or, is it just not picking up on your voice? Have you been able to use it previously? If you record a voice memo, does your voice get picked up there?

When you set up this iPhone SE, did you start it fresh or install a backup onto it? We ask cause we would like to know if there are any possible software conflicts that may be causing this.
