Degraded Streaming quality of Apple TV App on Chromecast with Google TV

Same issue as this thread, but it has been closed.

Same issue reported on Reddit as well:

When streaming Apple TV via the app on Chromecast with Google TV, playback is standard definition.

All content from other apps on Chromecast with Google TV (e.g. Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime, etc.) is high definition, this is limited to only the Apple TV app.
'Limit Playback to SD' setting is off.
Casting from Apple TV in a Chrome browser from a computer streams in HD, this is limited just to the native Apple TV App on the Chromecast.
TV is Vizio E50-C1
- Not 4K, but supports 1080p.
- TV indicates Chromecast input is 1080, and rest of Apple TV App (menu and such) appears to be HD as well (just not the actual streamed content).

Anyone else experiencing this issue or have a resolution?
