I do hope you got my file via e-mail.

Since then:

I told my problem for the manufacturer of the SSD and got this answer:

Thank you for getting back to me, I really appreciate it! Regrettably your model MacBook Air 6,1 is not compatible with Windows/BootCamp. We state it on our site of the SSD on the main product page:

Note: Not compatible with Apple Boot Camp when installed in the following hosts: MacBookPro11,1; MacBookAir6,1; MacBookAir6,2; iMac15,1 (Late 2014); iMac18,2; iMac18,3; iMac19,1; iMac19,2

If you have anymore questions, comments or concerns please reply to this email and I'll gladly assist you further!

Thank you for contacting OWC, have a great day!

I have evaluated drastic measures, but this morning I connected two Wininstall USBs – one 16 GB, one 32 GB – and copied the Windows .iso file to both and let Bootcamp erase partition as well as all Windows on the computer. When that was done, I had the option to install Windows, and I made sure the new expected .iso file should be saved on one fo the Wininstall USBs.

In particular I saw to it, that Bootcamp took my name and administrator login code. Everything went properly. The old partition was erased, a new one was made and the computer restarted with Windows (!) from the partition. At least I think it was from the partition.

There Windows continued installation and updating. When everything was as it should, I got a message, that something was wrong, and that I needed to restart. Which I did, only to get this picture:

Tried to restart on Windows with only that partition filled, no USB connected.

Same result. But this must mean, that it tried to start from the partition.

Restarted with option down, and then there were only two options: My SSD (Hjärntrusten) and something called BFI or something. Must have ben the partition, since it went into Windows stop sign. But why wasn't it called Windows or Bootcamp?

No change. And I have forgot how to get to Windows Recovery. Anyhow, it will probably claim, that there is no administrator.

Then there isn't much I can do. Everything in the Bootcamp process went smoothly. Why didn't the Windows installer install? The stop sign didn't explain why.

And it is the same production key, the same copy of the application as I had before the crash. Not even Windows recovery could do it. I tested all its suggestions and the key to get to reliable or firm or whatever disks went to … MacOS.

There is quite a bit of work happening between the start and the SYSPRP phase.

Think about it – all the time spent in waste. I am particularly thankful to you for having put up with me for all this time.

No worries!

The best offer now is a used Apple SSD of some size, but I do not know where to look for it.

In the US, take a look at https://beetstech.com/product/solid-state-drive-a1465-a1466-2013-2014. Send them an email and check if they will ship it to you at a reasonable price.

Crossover – could that be anything?

It may be a bit slow.

My Aura was brand new from my reseller after my computer crash this summer. He probably was unaware of my using Bootcamp. His only alternative now is something much smaller, which is no good. This e-Bay list scares me.

Better to wait and see if my reseller gets something better. In the mean time Crossover? It doesn't seem easy to me, so I have now written to them and specifically asked for help with my particular program. Which was paid for, I must get in touch with the Danish producer.
