Connecting a monitor (Leveno) to my 2014 MacBook Pro Retina

Hello

I am not technically minded, but need some advice as to what the name of the cable I need to purchase in order to connect a monitor to my 2014 MacBook Pro? The monitor I have is a Leveno (which appears to use a 'scart like' connection cable at both ends plugged into a PC laptop. Please could anyone advise? Thank you very much in advance for any input provided.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15

The cables you want for HDMI-only Monitors (higher resolutions than 720p TV sets) are generally marked as "Certified" , include an anti-counterfeiting tag, and are labeled:

"Premium High Speed HDMI cable" or that + "with Ethernet"  --OR--

"Ultra High Speed HDMI cable" or that + "48G"

Cables with No Certification tags are good for your standard TV set, and not much more.

The ones in the Apple store will be good quality. They may not allow the anti-counterfeiting tags because of looks.
