Uninstalling and reinstalling an app

I deleted an app from my phone so that I could re-install it as it was not working properly. I keep getting an error when I try to sign in that says "Invalid user ID or password", Even though it is deleted from my screen it still shows installed when I go to apps and it will open when I push the open button. I need to know how to completely uninstall and then re-install in order to make this app work properly. I have followed other answers, yet none of these work for me. Can anyone help me? This an iPhone SE 2020.

We understand. Then you need to contact the app developers on how to go about doing so. They appeared to not make it easy to do so or did not follow Apple's guidelines for app development ... which includes how to uninstall the app.

Double-check with the following support article to make sure you didn't miss anything when you attempted to delete this third-party app from your iPhone:

If it is a banking app for your account the User ID and password is stored on their server not on your iPhone so uninstalling will not help. You need to contact the bank technical support.

It is one of my banking apps. I don't know how to uninstall it. I was able to delete it but it only deleted from my phone screen. When I go to the apps app, it is still installed. I receive no error when I try to uninstall, because I don't know how to uninstall. That is what I am trying to find out.

My First Merchants Bank App. I contacted them first and they told me that I needed to uninstall the app, turn my phone off and wait 30 seconds then turn my phone back on, the re-install. I did all of this. It was delated from my screen but remained in my apps app and when I pushed open, it opens, but still does not work.
