Unable to import NEF files in Photos for iOS

I’m trying to import a NEF file from a Nikon D90 in Photos and this is what I get.

But the preview is fine in files app (this is a screenshot)

I’ve tried different files from different Nikon cameras and, in all the cases, the import is useless.

Also I’ve checked this link where all the cameras tried are listed as supported

What’s more, other RAW formats like DNG or CR2 (Canon) works like a charm.

The problem is only with Nikon files.

Any ideas?
