iOS 14.8 update - Battery Capacity drastically draining from 96% to 94% in just 2-3 days

After I have upgraded to iOS 14.8, the battery percentage of my iPhone 12 has fallen drastically from 96% to 94% in just a span of 2-3 days. This is terrible. Is it normal? I don't think it is normal. APPLE please help, before there were heating issues with my iPhone and when I asked apple to address my problem and replace my iPhone, they refused. PLEASE HELP APPLE !

Hello,

Whenever a new version of iOS is installed, there are maintenance and indexing tasks that need to be performed and this will drain the battery. It should settle down in the few days. These are the standard steps for short battery life:

1) Have you tried a restart?  If not, do it now.

2) Go to Settings > Battery > BATTERY USAGE BY APP to see the apps that are consuming your battery.

3) Check “Battery Health” in the link:

4) See this for some charging tips: When to charge your iPhone or iPad

Also see:

Keeping iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch within acceptable operating temperatures

Good luck.
