Apple Mail on iOS15 / Outlook.com MFA Application pwd

I’m facing the same problem too. Just changed the affected mail to default. Will see if this recurs.

Exactly. I have given up hope and been using Outlook for iOS for a week now. Looks like I might as well use it for all my other emails too.

Same challenges. As noted, this is an iOS15 bug , this never was an issue in previous iOS

After my original post I updated to iOS 15.1. 24 hours later the login message reappeared. 15.1 has NOT fixed the problem for me.

Try to reboot your iPhone and add account after login. Also check accounts in Setting - Contacts - Accounts. I had problems Re-enter password in Contacts but after reboot it work the re- enter

Exactly the same issue here using iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 15, working fine with corporate sharepoint but ASKING everyday with private Outlook.com account, I have generate a new App Password everytime. Very annoying!

i have the same problem using apples mail app. every day i have to reenter my password, more often than not, it must be entered multiple times a day. It does not matter if i enter it in the pop prompt or in the mail setting, nothing seems to keep the password saved. Very frustrating.

I have the same problem since upgrading to IOS 15; on only 1 of my email accounts - mocrosoft 365 - my gmail account is unaffected. It will invariably request the password at least once a day, anything up to 4 times a day. Is this is a bug and is there a fix?

Deleting the account, rebooting, and setting up the account from scratch does NOT solve the problem. I was prompted for my password a couple of hours later.

This bug is preventing me from getting prompted for new emails. I'm missing important emails. Please fix this!

Same issue for me. Since upgrading to iOS 15 on my iPhone 12 Pro, all of my work Microsoft Exchange accounts keep prompting me for my password stating "Password incorrect: Enter the password for the Exchange account". I enter it and a few hours later it prompts me again and it occurs in Mail, Contacts, Calendar, anywhere that it uses these accounts. The issue does not exist for my Microsoft 365, Hotmail, Outlook, Yahoo or Gmail email addresses.

I have also had the same issue as described in this thread. The login information is correct. I can send/receive emails. I just get prompted multiple times a day on both my iPhone (13 Pro Max) and my iPad Pro. This happened right away with my upgrade to iOS 15 and did not ever happen with iOS 14.

I have this exact issue. iOS15.0.1, iPhone 11, on-premise exchange, no MFA, iPhone mail client. Password lasts 2 days at most without prompting to be put in again. It acts like it's got an incorrect password. Does NOT do this for the Gmail account I have, only for exchange. Please fix this, not only is this annoying, I am missing work emails.

I am having the same issues,

Password is entered and it works for one day.

Then it reprompts. Enter the same working password, and it works for another day.

No issues with yahoo, gmail accounts. Only the outlook account

I am having the same issue too. Only happening on my Exchange account. All other accounts are fine.

I was wondering if it has anything to do with Mail Privacy Protection they added?

Whatever it is, it is annoying and needs to be solved ASAP

I am having the same issues - with my work email so exchange mail box - after a few hours it asks to renter password . But seems Apple does not want to acknowledge this as a big frustrating support I must say - basic functions not working seems like with all the enhancements we still can’t get the basics right no matter how much we improve tech
