No sound when using Apple maps on Ios15

I wouldn’t worry too much that’s just the new iOS 15, Apple is aware of it and will rectify the issue in the next iOS updates like every other time whenever we get a new any new software there’s always something that needs rectified

I have used iMaps twice since upgrading to iOS 15.2 and have no longer had any issues with audio directions being played over CarPlay through my vehicles entertainment system speakers while being connected via lightning cable.

Since installing iOS15.2 I too am unable to access a navigation voice when using Maps. Tried every trick and tip that Googling it has to offer - including Apple's own suggestions - with no luck. In the Maps app I don't even have the Navigation Voice Volume option, as that has also disappeared. When using Maps actively in navigation, I swipe up, as suggested on one site, in order to find the Navigation Volume, and that is also not there. Nor is there any Volume icon anywhere on the Maps page.

I have navigation voice back in the car now. The radio toggled 'On' - mine was also defaulted to 'Off' - appears to be the way. Still, Apple ought to address the fact that NAVIGATION VOICE VOLUME feature has vanished into thin air since the iOS15 install.

I agree. I have the same problem. I downloaded google maps on my iphone and everything works including the audio directions. I also want to keep my bluetooth on for phone calls in and out. I also downloaded the newest software version 15.2.1 that somone recommended but didn't solve the problem.

This is obviously a bug in iOS 15, my iPhone X worked perfectly with Google Maps in 14.8 now no sound on hands free or Bluetooth in truck, please fix this in 15.1

Which settings did you reset? Providing the answer would help many for certain.

They need to bring the audio selector back. AND there needs to be a way to set default audio output. I didn't like having to select iPhone EVERY TIME i used navigation. There should be the option to set it and forget it. I don't want navigation to come through my speakers/Bluetooth. I want it to come through my iPhone. (Google Maps audio is still working fine.)

I hope they fix it soon because this morning I got lost. My apple watch was beeping constantly and telling me to turn back (where and how?) the navigation voice was muted, it was talking to itself. I was trying to find my way and the volume settings on my phone and hating my Apple Watch all at the same time. And when I stopped I tried all the settings to set the volume up as I used to do but nothing worked. BMW, no car play, iPhone 11, iOs 15.

I’m also having this issue. Additionally, Maps directions no longer appear on the Home Screen when locked, nor does the blue nab banner show up at anytime. I’ve tried playing with settings and deleting and reinstalling the app, full reboot, etc. to no avail.

Apple, could we get some help with this, please?

What do you do when you’ve done everything mandala2021 said (except for wiping my phone by resetting it), and these options don’t work either. It seems like there’s a glitch, and I would love to see the audio button added back so that I can choose car or phone audio.

I’ve upgraded to 15.0.2 but still can’t toggle to get audio through phone speakers.

Need phone connected to car Bluetooth for phonecalls but don’t want maps audio through car speakers as it interrupts phonecalls or music

Has anyone that’s upgraded to 15.0.2 found a way of solving this ?
