I can't browse Apple Music on iTunes (desktop)

My laptop runs Windows 7 (iTunes version 12.10.11.2) and my apple music subscription is up to date.

I get a blank page when I click the 'For You', 'Browse' or 'Radio' toggles in iTunes. I'm able to access my own Library and the iTunes store with no issue.

No issue on my iPhone using the same account.

There is no and there will be no fix for this! This is a result of an incompatibility with iTunes on Windows 7 when establishing a network connection to Apple's server. This is why the page never loads and stays blank. It's like using an outdated web browser to load a new web page. If the browser is too old and the page is modern, it won't work. This is what happened here. iTunes on Windows 7 just doesn't communite anymore with updated Apple's servers. Updated software is required which in this case includes the operating system. The last version available for Windows 7 is iTunes 12.10.11.2 and since Windows 7 is no longer supported by iTunes, there will be no fix for this. The only solution if you want to listen to Apple Music with iTunes is to move to a newer OS (Window 10 for example) and install the latest iTunes version.

Hey jdo_apple,

I too am experiencing the same exact problem that other PC users are experiencing. Apple Music is current, and has worked on my PC for years (Windows 7). It works on my iPhone, and iPad pro with no problems.

As you can probably see within this thread, even though following the "steps in this Apple resource" link that you provided in this recent post; it doesn't solve the issue(s).

You can read below that we have also tried uninstalling / reinstalling iTunes. Logging out of Apple ID... still doesn't work.

It seems to be an iTunes update needed for PC? (Current: 12.10.11) Is there any new information that can help fix this issue? I hope this isn't a PC discrimination and a newfound attempt by Apple to convert PC users over to MAC. Haha!

Please help us!!! We just want to Browse, Listen to Radio, and use For You

Cheers!

I too have suddenly found in the last few days that although I have what I am told is the latest version of iTunes (namely 12.10.11) I cannot access Browse, or For You in iTunes on my PC which is running Windows 8.1. Until now those features, along with my access to the store and my library were working perfectly. It seems several other people have the same issue. I am paying my subscription to Apple Music, but am now not able to utilise its features, which is annoying. I hope Apple will sort this out.

I am not railing against you - my point is simply that Apple must have known their servers would stop supporting those people using Windows 8.1 to access Apple Music. All they had to do was send an email warning that it would happen so at least we wouldn't be blindsided - which is what has happened. It's poor customer service.

I am puzzled that you don't know what subscription I am referring to because to access Apple Music you have to pay a subscription, either monthly or annually. Apple was happy to continue taking that subscription but for us as customers, it was no longer working, so we were paying for no service.
