iPhone 13 notification sound too low

I got my iPhone 13 3 days ago, after using it for 2 full days, I realized that the notification sound is way too low. It applies to WhatsApp, iMessage, email etc. Even though I set all volume to the loudest; and googled how to fix it online then tried everything posted on the internet but still didn't improve.

I changed from iPhone XR to iPhone 13, but my iPhone XR with iOS 14 was perfectly fine, the notification sound was very loud with no issue at all.

Hi Joey_Chan_HK,

From your post, it sounds like the notification sound on your iPhone 13 is low. Let's try the steps mentioned here: Adjust the volume on iPhone - Apple Support

Do you have Do Not Disturb enabled? Have you checked each app's settings individually to make sure that notifications are set correctly? Do you have a Bluetooth device connected to the iPhone? If so, let's double check to make sure the audio isn't being pushed to the Bluetooth device.

Take care.

This problem has been discussed a lot in this session. Take a moment and read the replies.

This issue has nothing to do with Attention Awareness Features.

It is an iOS issue.

All alerts volume is too low compared with Ringtones.

Just try this test and you will hear the volume difference between ringtone and text tone.

Settings, Sound & Haptics, Ringer and alerts volume all the way up and change with buttons OFF

Sounds and vibration patterns, Ringtone choose “Sonar” found in classic

Text Tone choose “Sonar” found in the bottom list “Ringtones”, and you will hear the volume difference between ringtones and Text Tone alert.

There's always one person that copies and paste the same NOT WORKING SOLUTION! Please STOP! There is no solution to this MASSIVE COCK UP FROM APPLE. They are completely ignoring this and I bet they are making it on purpose so people buy their watch. Even YouTubers don't mention thus problem that happens in every single iPhone I try in stores and from friends. APPLE YOU HAVE TO ANSWER US AND FIX THIS!! THIS IS JUST UNACCEPTABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

Of course they're ignoring this issue. Next I'm week going to the apple store to make them give me a new phone until they fix the issue. If you have warranty and apple care they will have to give u a new phone if you show them the volume of the notification is not working properly. One just needs to do that enough time so they start giving a **** about all these new iPhones getting out of their inventory without extra money 😈

They were and they are aware of that issue!

I’ve reported it via feedback app at least 30 times since December 2020 when iPhone 12 came out.

The feedback app status said: “more than 10 people reported this issue”

Other people, including me, contacted Apple tech support several times and they are giving priority to other things, that’s the only explanation.

New emoji’s, new wallpapers, fixed this fixed that except the most important things a phone should have.

Having the exact same issue. I almost returned my 13 pro max because of this. I compared it to my 10 S max and you can definitely tell a difference. I have to have the volume all the way up just to hear my text messages when not directly in front of my phone. The good news is it looks like a software issue and hopefully will be fixed in a software update soon.

It’s a software issue that affects all iPhones, even your iPhone XS Max.

So comparing different iPhone models is useless.

I suggest you a test to do with your XS Max (it’s not a fixing solution)

Settings

Sounds & Haptics set Ringer & Alerts volume all the way up.

Set ringtone and alerts tone with the same sound.

Choose a loud sound like “Sonar” found in “Classics”

Ringtone “Sonar”

Text Tone “Sonar”

Now you can hear the difference in volume between ringtone and text tone.

”Sonar” in ringtone is very loud and “Sonar” in text tone is very quiet.

Remeber, it’s just a TEST
