Navigation voice volume

This is a deal breaker for me; it makes maps unusable with other apps. This is a primary function of my phone, and I will switch to Android because of this.

Thank you for the ideas; you are sure this will have Siri be set to a different volume than the app that is currently playing? Are all application's volumes set independently?

They removed this, and it’s made my experience worse and reduced the value of their product. Whoever is managing the product at apple for the maps app isn’t doing their job. Now those of us who use nav over Bluetooth have to crank up a he music louder to hear the directions clearly, terrible. I’ve been using iPhone since the first one in 2007, and watch each iOS get buggier and worse with features removed rather than added and refined, I’m starting to think something in the apple core is rotting (bad leadership). Guess I’ll be using Google Maps and Waze now…by Apple Maps (and this is how you lose market share, Tim)

Hi, I'm having the same issue. Whilst driving, instructions from Siri are the same volume as the music.

But, I just talked to Apple Support and a small workaround has been found.

If you activate "Hey Siri" and talk to Siri, once she is answering you can adjust the volume of Siri and through this also the volume of the instructions for Apple Maps.

Whilst this workaround works, it still needs to be fixed!

you're wrong about this. in iOS 15, there is no longer a setting for "navigation and guidance".

Confirmed it’s a software issue; placeholder still exists in settings search bar, but if pressed takes you just to the nav settings screen where the setting seems to have been removed

So does google maps ;)
