Does Apple Pencil work with iPhone 13?

I bought a pencil and didn’t do my research. 🤦🏽‍♂️ Will there be and iOS update to support the pencil in the future for iPhone? 🤷🏾

They could use the same screen/technology that's being used on the Samsung Note 10 Plus. It won't cost them much I guess.

I have both the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the Samsung Note 10 Plus. I think I won't let go of the latter for now because of its note taking ability.

I am shocked to learn that the latest Apple pencil does not work with my iPhone 13 Pro! Took a picture of my student and tried to make some marks on the pic to call attention to posture, but could not do it. This is so counter intuitive!

No. The Apple Pencil only supports the iPads listed in the Apple article you linked.

I was chocked as I had iPad Pro 11” with pen and use it in my eduction but sometime need to use the pen directly on my iPhone 11 Pro max

therunawaygringo doesn't work for Apple (nobody here does) so he can't add this. Had you read the entire thread you would know that it would require a different screen on the iPhone for it to work with the Apple Pencil, I seriously doubt that Apple will add this to the current iPhones.

I 100% totally and completely agree with you! I am struggling with switching over to my new iPhone 13 pro max because of my notes and note taking abilities on my old Samsung Note 10.

I wish Wholeheartedly that Someone would come out with a stylus, that works like the S-Pen, for iPhones.. I am almost considering going back to Samsung, even though I love everything else about the iPhone 13 pro max. 😔

You would need a completely different screen and digitizer plus additional hardware to make it work. How much more are you willing to pay for it?

If they used the same screen as Samsung they would also have to use the same stylus and not the Apple Pencil.
