Siri no longer bringing up "Photo" results when asked.

Siri is bringing up "bing" results when I ask to view photos. For example, I ask siri "hey siri, show me pictured from September 28th 2018" and it will populate images from the web. It used to populate images from my photos. Fix?

I had this problem searching faces, etc. in my photos using Siri for some time. I opened an issue with Apple a few days ago and sent traces, etc. Response from engineering a few minutes ago (10/9/21 1:30pm Pacific): "This functionality (searching your photos using Siri) was removed September 20". So Siri photo search is no more! You must search manually in the Photos app, I wonder what disabled people are going to do now.

Hello Hoodfamily1535,

Thanks for reaching out through the Apple Support Communities about that behavior with Siri.

It looks like you've had the chance to review the related article above.

Is your iPhone all up to date? Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Does this happen with both Wi-Fi and mobile data?

Do you use any other Apple devices? If so, does Siri exhibit the same behavior on your other devices?

Hopefully those details will help to further isolate this behavior.

Take care.

So frustrated with this problem, it used to be such a timesaver. The only workaround that I have found personally is to just go into the Photos app and use Search or Moments.

For example, I used to ask Siri to show me my photos of food and then find all the shots I took of dining out etc. You can still search for "food", it just no longer seems to be voice-activated or Siri supported. Has anyone set up their own Shortcut for this as a bypass? And could that be re attached to Siri?
