Is there a way to get rid of that small rectangular keyboard symbol at the bottom right of my messenging apps and text app on my ipad? It covers send buttons and is incredibly irritatitng this is with IOS15

I have got the solution to this issue from Reddit. It is working now. :)

Thank you - that was MASSIVELY annoying, and was ruining using messages on my ipad!
I hate the keyboard in lower right and cannot make it go away, apple do something.

You can long-press the keyboard symbol and drag it to the opposite corner. That will move it out of the way and allow you to tap items that may be covered by the keyboard symbol.
Except in some apps this removes the entire chat area from the screen. So, it’s not a solution in all cases. See video captures in other comment.

Interesting…I have an iPad Pro and turning off shortcuts worked on mine. Maybe try turning off shortcuts and predictive text?
