Apple TV won’t load on roku
Apple TV won’t load on Roku. It keeps going back to home page. It worked a couple of weeks ago. I relapsed the app and it still doesn’t work Any ideas how to fix?

Okay, after speaking with an Apple “genius” who heard me gripe, he actually did resolve the issue.
On your Roku,
- Go to Settings
- Go to Display type
- Deselect “Auto Detect” if that’s what it is on
- Try the other types of displays. Apple TV+ works for me with “4K 60 Hz TV” but you may have to use a lower display quality.
Hopefully this is helpful for someone although the developers should improve the app so Roku users don’t have to adjust settings. Hulu, HBO Max, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and DirecTV Stream all work without me having to adjust my Roku settings, so Apple’s should too!

Why isn’t Apple on top of this?
I tried again with no luck.

Same problem- video wont load. Worked fine a day ago. Apple was no help. Ridiculous a company that size cant get their videos to load.
Exactly the same thing here. The fix "worked" for just one episode now things load eternally and never play.
2022 update: IT IS STILL GLITCHY ON ROKU AND IT DOES NOT WORK. THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING! MY INTERNET WORKS, I HAVE TRIED RESTARTING AND RE-INSTALLING AND STILL NO SUCCESS! FIX THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!
When I try to watch a movie for Apple App I get a screen of pink and green and just now a screen with a CNN headline. I called Apple but they could not fix it.
Same. Exceptionally frustrated I'm apparently wasting my money on AT+ that is unwatchable. Hey APPLE TV - LISTEN TO US!
