ios15 print problem

Hi - ios 15 - I can no longer print anything from iphone or ipad with ios 15. When I click on Print it says ‘Gathering printer information’. Wife’s iphone, same wifi network, same printer, ios 14.8, has no problem. Also the mini ipad, NOT updated to ios15, prints fine. I have reset network on iphone/ipad, turned on/off router, hard reset iphone / ipad. Everything was working fine on all devices until I updated to ios 15. I have set everything to run on the same 2G network to be sure. Is there anything else I can try? Thanks.

Had the same problem with an iPhone 11 Pro Max. Updated to iOS 15.2. Turned the wifi on and off. Hard reset the phone. Tried waiting for the “Gathering printer information” to go away. Still nothing.

Found that going into the wifi settings and “Forget this network” and reconnecting to the wifi solved it.

Hi - I left it for 85 mins and it still failed to gather the info on the iOS 15 iPhone. It got the information in less than 2 secs on my wife’s iOS 14 phone. Same printer, phones within 2ft of the printer. Sometimes, turning off and on everything: printer, router and phones persuades it to work.

My wife's new Iphone 13 mini running IOS 15.1.1 does the 'gathering printer information' thing then nothing happens and the printer subsequently appears to go offline. My own Iphone Se running on 14.8.1 produces no such problem and I'm not going to update the IOS as a result

I then have to reconfigure my (rather old) Brother wireless printer HL-2340D which previously has worked without any problems. Very frustrating!

I have checked and everything to do with the HP Officejet printer is up to date.

Worst update ever. I got locked out of my notes giving me a weird hint that I NEVER put in. The text bar on my iPhone was jumpy for awhile and now I can’t print either. Maybe before dumping such a big update on us you should really makes sure it works

Both my iPad and iPhone have upgraded to iOS 15.2 and no longer print to my Epson WF-3520. My Mac works fine with Adobe and Word.

i have tried EVERYTHING, including the waiting for “gathering printer information” to disappear only to be told that “printer is offline”

My wife’s old iPhone is on iOS 12.5 and is working perfectly, so annoying!!

Come on Apple, fix this bug PLEASE.

I have same problem with Airprint or print document from my Iphone .

I have xerox printer that worked perfect before ios15 . I did every single suggestions in the replies , but nothing !

I tried everything , and still stuck at " gathering printer .." .

This is frustrating , APPLE must do something about that .

I have the same issue with my apples devices and HP Laser Jet Pro. I just updated to ios 15.2 and "gathering printer information" still shows when trying to air print. It's so frustrating as the delays are disrupting my business! Apple please can you find a fix to this asap!

It’s happening to me too. Both iPhone 12 and iPad Pro are updated to iOS 15.4 and I can’t airprint one the iPad today. Yesterday it was fine and I can still print on my iPhone. I wait until it no longer says it gathering printer information, select the options I want and then it tells me the printer is offline, which it isn’t. I’ve turned everything off, iPad printer and modem/router and turned them back on again in various orders. I’ve checked my canon printer for firmware updates and still I get the same problems.

I give up….now I just bring my laptop over to the printer and hook it up so I can print….both HP and Apple were useless…

Same issue when I up graded my iphone to 15.1, same message and still cannot print from phone, can print from computer but not iphone….very frustrating and seems to be no fix…

I have had the same problem since the upgrade to iOS15 when trying to print from my iPad to my Epson printer.

This is very frustrating. Apple needs to get this fixed ASAP.
