Is anyone else having issues with the iPhone 13 pro max notification and ringer sound not very loud. I can barley hear it when I get a text or when someone calls. It sounds like my phone is 30 feet away when it’s tight in front of me. I’m very frustrated with this cause I miss almost every notification or call cause of super low sound. I have tried everything to get it louder but nothing works.. please help

Just had a conversation with Apple Support and the connected into my iPhone, screen share, and we went through all my settings. We tested my notification volume and they also were surprised my notification volumes were so low but my ringer was loud. Apple Support had me do a "Rest All Settings". When the iPhone booted up again the first option they had me turn off was Accessibility/Face ID & Attention/Attention Aware Features (OFF). Default was ON. After that the notification sound levels worked great. I hope this can help you.
Did you lose notification tone volume after pairing your hearing aids or are you a hearing aid wearer? Most of issues with notification volumes that I am familiar with are with bluetooth paired hearing aids. Sorry about all your messages and calls. I am totally not familiar with Samsung.

Not yet. Apple techs are supposed to be checking to see if it’s a software issue. We went thru everything and a diagnostic of phon and everything was ok there so it just comes down to software
Apple's created trouble ticket to engineering for this issue. Other users experiencing this problem can reference this ticket when contacting support. Supposed to have response within 5 business days. Will post their response when I hear back from them.

Several have been running this issue with Apple Support since last October. Just as information Whattheheck1962, what Model iPhone were you using before the new iPhone 13 pro max? Also if you are inside your 14 day return period you might return it to Apple for a different model. I have not seen users reporting same issue with iPhone 13 pro.
I received an update on my open case from apple support this morning: "As of right now I have not gotten any further information regarding this issue from the engineering team . . .".
The iOS 15.4 and 15.4.1 updates did not change the behavior of low alert volume I was seeing. 15.4.1 looks like it may have corrected a brand specific hearing aid connection problem, but I wasn't experiencing that issue.

Karina 184 thank you for commenting. I have checked everything you requested me to check and still is very low. Nothing changed. I don’t know if it a malfunction in the phone or software, but I have just bought it brand new and out of the box it has been this way…
Thank you for the quick reply. I have done everything Apple suggested in your discussion and the notification sounds are still low. Only thing I have not done is a wipe and restore. Hope Apple gets back to you with a solution.
Tech20rip, thank you for the reply. I had already done your suggestion and as soon as I paired my hearing aids back to the iPhone the low alert volume started again. The only way my alerts work at higher volume is to remove my hearing aids from the iPhone. Kind of defeats the purpose since I need the hearing aids paired with the iPhone. I am going to try and make a trip to my nearest Apple Store, 60+ miles and see if a Genius can help me. Maybe it is just an issue with the iPhone 13 Max. Thanks again for your assist.
I am having this problem too. Turning off attention aware feature makes no difference whatsoever. I still can't hear the text alert properly even at full volume. I am surprised Apple didn't iron this one out before the new model went out in time for Christmas. I have to keep checking to see if I've had a text instead because I can't trust I'm going to hear it.
I am having the same issues. I have Bernafon Zerena 9 hearing aids. Even with them turned off, the alert sounds on the phone are muted and the ringtone is also. I didn't have any of these problems on my old iPhone 7+. And if I turn on Play System Sounds under hearing devices, it is waaaay too loud in my hearing aids!
It is never a waste of time when we can all share our experiences and help each other. This is what brings problem solutions to issues we all share and gets those problems brought to Apples attention at Apple Support. Don’t be discouraged.
Iphone 13 pro max … Alerts sounds are ridiculously low sounding … can’t hear it well even at the highest volume setting … should have separate volume for ring tones and alerts notifications, especially messages …
iPhone 13 pro max now, Samsung note was my old phone which I still have not sent back for trade in $$$. I just got this iPhone in mail 6 days ago … lost all my text messages and phone log calls in the transfer of data !!!! Already called Verizon and apple support … my messages and calls are gone forever!!!
