Computer mounting install disks whenever I plug in minidp

I have a macbook pro 2015 running Mojave. Whenever I plug in a screen to minidp, connect to an apple tv using airplay, or change resolution scaling in system preferences (edit: doesn't always happen with changing in system preferences), the system mounts a lot of installers, causes hangups and general problems (sometimes dock disappears), and has crashed my computer at least once.

The exact same thing happens when I unplug the display or go back to standard screen scaling. This has only happened since I upgraded from Catalina.

The installers are dmg's in my download folders. Mostly free software (e.g. inkscape, GIMP, drawpile, Mischief Free). Mischief and inkscape in particular pull up a EULA agreement like the kind when you install a program, and a finder window with the program and application folder respectively. I could just delete or zip the installers, but it seems that it's a symptom of a bigger problem.

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes.

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

You should remove Adobe Flash Player installed - Adobe Flash Player is installed on this computer. This is a security risk and no longer supported.

EtreCheck is a FREE simple little diagnostic tool to display the important details of your system configuration and allow you to copy that information to the Clipboard. It is meant to be used with Apple Support Communities to help people help you with your Mac. It will not display any personal info.

Pastebin is a good place to paste the whole report if you capture the URL while there…

https://pastebin.com/

Whew, they've changed pastebin & made it harder, but after pasting in, click Create new paste button, then Embed button, then copy the URL...

<script src="https://pastebin.com/embed_js/KuvnghqA"></script>

The important part of the above is between the quote marks...

If pastebin is a problem for you then workable but harder for me to work with...the Note tool on the bottom of this editor's toolbar, as shown in the image, to copy and paste the output from EtreCheck. In a Reply before you click post, look for this to add longer texts...

I know I have too many chrome tabs open.

I took a look over, and I'm wondering if it could be the cuda (I installed it for a test).

The preferences panel for it has an install button, but no uninstall, and I can't find an uninstaller to check if that is the problem.

Also, I made the report without being plugged into a minidp, if that's useful info.

In addition to uninstalling CMM your SSD only has 2GB of free storage space available which is also causing issues since macOS requires at least 20GB of free storage space. If you run out of storage space on the SSD you may end up losing all your data because macOS won't be able to run or even delete files. Make sure to clear off at least 20GB of space and keep it clear. Make sure to have a good backup as well.

You should always have frequent & regular backups. It is impossible to recover accidentally deleted data from an SSD after the Trash has been emptied plus an SSD can fail at any time without any warning signs (even a brand new SSD).
