Music player and locked screen - iOS15

is anybody else having the music player showing up on lock screen when a Bluetooth device is connected. (I’ve done all of the troubleshooting steps without success but I haven’t even used the music player since installing iOS 15 ). It seems to be triggered by connecting to a Bluetooth device, in my case, hearing aids. This issue existed in iOS 14 too but Apple addressed that bug, but after installing iOS15 it is now recurring on my iPhone 12pro.

Update 15.2 seems to have fixed this issue. My iPhone 12 no longer displays the music player on the locked screen after connecting my Bluetooth hearing aids. I’ve connected and reconnected multiple times since the update was installed and no music player has reappeared on my locked screen.

I tried restarting some 20 times. Everytime after restart it disappears but appears again when my car is turned on. This is so frustrating.

We have experienced it more lately. Doesn’t seem to be a software update issue/fix. My money is on low key marketing. Just an Apple Music reminder because…Apple.

This occurs again since upgrade to 15.4 - tried every other troubleshoot with no resolution.

Does the Music app stop showing up on your Lock Screen if you temporarily disable Bluetooth? IT DOES STOP SHOWING UP WHEN I DISCONNECT THE HEARING AIDS OR SELECT AIRPLAY ON THE LOCKED SCREEN AND THEN SELECT iPHONE. TURNING OFF BLUETOOTH HAS SAME RESULT AS DISCONNECTING MY HEARING AIDS AND NOT RECONNECTING THEM. AS SOON AS THE AIDS RECONNECT WITH BLUETOOTH THE PLAYER SHOWS UP ON THE LOCKED SCREEN AGAIN WITH THE HEARING AIDS AS THE “AIRPLAY SPEAKER”. PERHAPS IT SEEMS RANDOM TO ME BUT MAYBE IT’S RELATED TO THE BLUETOOTH HEARING AIDS DISCONNECTING -RECONNECTING AUTOMATICALLY WHEN I AM NOT AWARE THAT IS OCCURRING

Also, does restarting have any impact on this behavior, even if only temporarily? Restart your iPhone NOT REALLY. IT ONLY AFFECTS THE ISSUE AS RESTARTING THE PHONE DISCONNECTS THE BLUETOOTH HEARING AIDS. AS SOON AS THE AIDS RECONNECT THE ISSUE IS SAME AS ABOVE

does this on both of my iPads and my iPhone all 3 are using 15.2. Worse still i don’t have have any audio apps installed on any of my devices yet i still get bugged by a constant Now Playing widget on the lock screen.

This is extremely annoying, some bright spark in marketing thinks this will gain more customers for apple music!

When will companies realize, people are not stupid and they don't like being treated like sheep.

This has really put me off Apple. Actually I am going to unsubscribe from Apple music just for this. There is plenty of other music services which don't treat their customers like lemmings.

It sure is. Just updated my 13 Pro. As soon as I connected my hearing aids it popped back up. Clearly Apple thinks this is not worth fixing nor worth providing an opt-out for. Bloody annoying.
