ios15 - Text Replacement keeps disappearing

To all still having this issue. I spoke with tech support 3x. I installed 15.2.1 and that didn’t fix it. We reset predictive text and that didn’t fix it. Lastly we signed out of Apple ID and signed back in; and that did it. Text replacement shortcuts has been working for several days now. Good luck!

When you notice the text replacements are missing, were there any changes made on your device? Are you using a specific app when you notice the text replacements are missing? Do you create backups of your device on a regular basis?

Hi. Were you able to fix this issue? We (8 of my friends and family members) have the same problem.

Apple support via twitter and apple service center support tried their best to fix the issue but same result.

The 3rd ios 15 update still did not include the fix for text replacement. ☹️

I have the same issue with my work iPhone. I updated to IOS 15 and they were gone which seems to happen with every major update. But when I add shortcuts back they vanish pretty much before I get to use them. It is extremely frustrating especially because we have to fill a log of our duties which I used to do with 2 letters and now I need to type out 2 long sentences every time. Apple please fix this as a priority.

Constantly the only text replacement left is onw which is default and has no use for me.

Most annoyingly stop removing them with every update it takes me hours to re-enter the phrases and due to my employer's control, I cannot back them up.

I am also having this issue which started on my job issued I pad with the latest patch. To 15.1. I have blocked the update on my personal iPad just in case. I need those phrases or my documentation takes 1-2 hours longer a day. Since it is work related and I do not have access to permissions to roll back update, It is a hardship .

Same issues as above. Upgraded my iPhone 6 to iPhone 13 and newest iOS. All my shortcuts disappeared except the default “On my way!” I have typed and saved new ones several times and once the page is closed and reopened they are gone again. Recent iOS updates have not corrected the bug. Please fix and announce the fix for all of us waiting patiently.

Has anyone figured out how to fix this? Having the same problem. None of the below suggestions have worked for me. It’s also for my work issues ipad, and also for me documentation it’s taking me forever bc it won’t save my text replacement!! Apple…HELP!!!

I Can't use Apple account on my phone as it's controlled by my employer. After the latest update the text replacement lasts longer but it still disappeared.

Can someone please let me know how to contact Apple regarding this as thier staff seem to be ignoring this thread

I am in the exact position you are! Documenting is taking so much longer now and putting me behind!

That didn’t work for me. I am very frustrated. This is the first time an update affected me negatively - and this is a BIG one. I should have stayed at IOS 14.

I signed out.

I added few text replacements didn’t even sign into my apple account

i restarted my iPad and the replacement texts that I entered disappeared.

I hope App,e fixes this bug soon.
