iPhone 13 Pro Max EXTREMELY slow!

I upgraded from the XS to 13 Pro Max and I'm about to throw it out the window. I can't believe how slow it is. I've done everything recommended-deleted photos, apps, reset network, called provider, changed settings, etc.. I'm so frustrated. PLEASE HELP!

Any thoughts?

UPDATE:

I called Apple today. We updated my software to 15.0.2 and now it works with Wi-Fi. When I got my phone 5 days ago it was up to date with the 15 software . They told me that is the “Beta” version and that I need to update. Honestly, I thought my phone auto updated and I didn’t know there was already a new version. Anyway, the update seems to have fixed my problem with Wi-Fi. Hope this helps!

This post really resonated with me and I felt the EXACT same. I wanted to walk in the AT&T store (where I purchased) & throw it back at them instead of out the window. I had tried everything. Hard reset, wiped it clean, re-uploaded from cloud etc nothing worked. On Wi-Fi it worked ok but off it the phone was literally not functional. Was having to call & get directions bc couldn’t even use my map or Waze app.

At AT&T store they kept telling me it was my data plan & I finally agreed to upgrade to premium elite data or some crap. It seemed to fix the problem & from what I understand if you don’t have a newer data plan that can work with the 5g technology then it’s like “putting a Honda motor in a Rolls Royce.”

This all happened today so I’m intentionally working off Wi-Fi & will give it a couple days. If it doesn’t fix the problem I’m going back & getting another iPhone 10 or something. Screw the 13! I’ve had iPhones since they first started selling them ~ 2006 ish & I’ve never had an experience as awful as this!

Update your data plan if you can. It was only about $10 more /month for me. Fingers crossed it’s REALLY fixed!

I had the same issue w my pro, I think I saw the answer here somewhere but it worked like a charm, went to general settings and then wi-fi / it said I was connected to Wi-Fi (by way of the green tab thing) but when I went to the thing it said I was disconnected. So I had to restart my modem and all that. And then click on my particular Wi-Fi source, put password in it took a few minutes I think but then roadrunner fast.

Bigmike224-

I updated to the latest software, restarted modem, restarted phone, and now it’s working great. They told me that if for some reason your running on software version 15 (the version 13 was released with), it won’t work because it’s the “beta version”. That’s directly from Apple. That’s what got mine to work normal. I hope you can get it figured out. I know it’s crazy frustrating!

Provider told me to reset network settings which I did to no avail. They then told me to bring the phone back to them. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to start over with another backordered phone and 3 hour transfer process!

Maybe they sold you a dud, as I went from a XS Max to iphone 13 pro max and it is fast.

One thing you could try is to back up your device to icloud, then restore your phone as new and test out the speed, then sync apps back and do another test.

I am so glad I’m not the only one that acknowledges this. I am going to take this iPhone 13 pro back to apple for the second time because 15.1.1 completely ruined the processing speed of my brand new device. It’s slower than my old iPhone X! pre-update to 15.1.1 benchmarks were on-par with average iPhone 13 pro. After updating, benchmark results showed my device performing at about 70% below average.

I apologize for being so vague.
Websites take about 4 minutes to load completely if they load at all. Email is a blank screen for about 3 minutes; some don't load at all. Apps open and attempt to load for around 4-5 minutes. Everything I do on it is like this.

is this via cellular data?

IF so have you contacted your cellular data provider?
