AirPods Pro Detected Near You

I just want to reply to say that I got the same thing, and it was very freaky! None of my roommates' airpods are it. Apple *please* it's terrible design to be like "this device can see your location!" and the only way to disable it is to find the device. you can't do it from your phone. Cringe.

It was happening to me a couple nights ago. I was staying at a hotel out of town. I do not own airpod pro. I turned off the blue tooth when I got the notification. But it came on again after turn on the blue tooth again.

I was asleep when it was happening to me. It freaked me out.

mid there an answer to this? Are my personal info safe?

Same thing and I don’t have AirPods so this doesn’t make sense. And it says “learn to disable it” but HOW? so some stranger can just see where I am through some AirPods? This makes me so uneasy man especially at that time at night someone looking at my location or even having access to it.

However, I do believe that the message was in delay. He was near a friend with AirPods pro a few hours before he received this message. Just like you it came in the rears. This could be an error in the receipt of the message through the AirTag system.

Any any Apple person confirm that a delay like this can happen in the AirTag system???

I got this same error message but what is creepy is that it is showing the AirPods coming from a place I used to live. My family has never had AirPods, so why is it showing that multiple times there have been trips between the place I live and where I used to live with these “AirPods”

So not looking for a reply I don’t care that much. Same problem as you guys in 2022 but for me it says “airpod detected near you”. The notification was different then what you guys got, so I’m assuming it’s just one single airpod connecting which is weird. I don’t know what the dotted and solid lines mean but one of you guys said dotted means they were checking the location. I can’t find the AirPods even with wifi it says “try moving to a different location”. I have dotted and solid lines the solid lines happened when I was in my neighborhood. Maybe solid means they weren’t actively checking. Who knows but apple won’t let me upload the screenshot.

How do you text Apple support?

I got a new phone and I'm getting this message on the new phone for my own AirPods.

This just happened to me two days ago. Apple seemed stumped. Concerned but did notice it happened the morning following an update.

I’m in communication with Apple support and engineers regarding the situation. They’re still asking for more insight, so will update as they provide details.

Me too, my own AirPods, and multiple times a day, it’s driving me nuts! I want a fix!!

It’s probably a glitch by apple, my iPhone 11 showed this as well for about a week and it hasn’t happened since.

Just sign out out of your ICloud account and sign back in! They’ll be removed!!

I’ve had the same thing for the past few days and I’d imagine its either some sort of exploit that was found to make your device believe there was someone’s missing device on you at all times so they can track your location, or (hopefully) an error. In my case its two separate pairs of airpod pros, which would not make sense to throw on someone to intentionally track, so I’d say that option is unlikely. When I search for either pair it just says it can’t connect. No one in my household owns a pair of airpod pros, so thats also ruled out. Just hoping it’s an error on apple’s part.
