AirPods Pro Detected Near You

However, I do believe that the message was in delay. He was near a friend with AirPods pro a few hours before he received this message. Just like you it came in the rears. This could be an error in the receipt of the message through the AirTag system.

Any any Apple person confirm that a delay like this can happen in the AirTag system???

Just got this today and it’s freaking me out that I can even be seen. It’s showing my exact location since 10:30 this morning and it’s not 4:30pm. I can see everywhere I’ve been today. Apple, you NEED to do something about this ASAP

Me too, my own AirPods, and multiple times a day, it’s driving me nuts! I want a fix!!

Same thing and I don’t have AirPods so this doesn’t make sense. And it says “learn to disable it” but HOW? so some stranger can just see where I am through some AirPods? This makes me so uneasy man especially at that time at night someone looking at my location or even having access to it.

This same thing is happening to my girlfriend, I know that the red dots are every time the person physically checks your location. My girlfriend is texting apple support right now trying to get help on this.

I’m trying to figure out if they can track your phone constantly, or just their AirPods while they are in range of your phone. In my situation the red dots seem to stay at the Verizon store. It would seem like a very irresponsible over site to just let the person track everyone’s phone that connects to the pods, but than again not knowing or having a clear answer is not comforting. Wish Apple would chime in here.

Hey there, I just woke up this morning and found the same message. I didn’t even leave my house last night, I was asleep when it happened. Either there is an issue with the last iOS update, or people have found a back door in through this airpod tracking, and are hacking into our phones. Not happy with Apple either way.

My boyfriend gave me his AirPods. I’ve unlinked them from his phone and attached them to mine. We’re BOTH getting this message 😭 I have tried to “disable” them…. Nothing. It doesn’t even show as a device in his “find my”. Any help is so appreciated. This is so annoying.

Mine have been doing this since I got my new phone. It’s really annoying, yes I have a set of airpod pros and so does my husband. I’ve disconnected them from my old phone and connected them to my new device, so why on earth is it still doing this constantly?

It was happening to me a couple nights ago. I was staying at a hotel out of town. I do not own airpod pro. I turned off the blue tooth when I got the notification. But it came on again after turn on the blue tooth again.

I was asleep when it was happening to me. It freaked me out.

So not looking for a reply I don’t care that much. Same problem as you guys in 2022 but for me it says “airpod detected near you”. The notification was different then what you guys got, so I’m assuming it’s just one single airpod connecting which is weird. I don’t know what the dotted and solid lines mean but one of you guys said dotted means they were checking the location. I can’t find the AirPods even with wifi it says “try moving to a different location”. I have dotted and solid lines the solid lines happened when I was in my neighborhood. Maybe solid means they weren’t actively checking. Who knows but apple won’t let me upload the screenshot.

Both iPhones in our household suddenly started getting this error PLUS I have been getting it on my MacBook. I have one pair of AirPods that I carry on my person.

The same thing happened to me tonight. I’m relieved to have found this thread but still really shaken up. It appeared from the notification that someone had put the AirPods on my person or car and could track them to my location. If this is a glitch it needs to be resolved immediately or at the very least Apple should officially notify customers so they aren’t sitting up all night watching the windows and doors like I am.

Just sign out out of your ICloud account and sign back in! They’ll be removed!!

They did a reset of her device, but they said they could not see where the person was that’s tracking her. We turned off some things in location services. Apple said they are forwarding it to their security department. If it happens again we goin to the police.
