Spatial audio not available on MacBook Air m1? Running the latest OS Monterey. My settings show selected in both Music app and System Prefs. My AirPods Pro work fine on my iPhone with both Atoms and spatial audio.
I had this problem, then it suddenly started working for a few days only to go off again. It took me a while to figure it out. It was Shazam. If it's on then Spatial audio will not work. Simply quit Shazam and it works.
Just add the music you want to listen with spatial audio and download it...works for me on MBA M1...good luck!!!
I know, it's crazy. I'm pretty much appalled but super glad at the same time because I know this info is going to make a LOT of fans happy. So i'm really happy to find out about this literally moments ago.

I used the same method but for YouTube.com does the same thing, however I can really not tell if the media from Apple Music is really being outputted in Spiritual Audio or its just visually showing in the menu bar

That's also not a thing on M1 macs. It's a terminal command and it's NVRAM. sudo nvram -c but that didn't seem to clear up the issue for me at all with Monterrey being live today.
Same problem here. Neither with the AirPods Pro and max work.
Same here, tried with PRAM restart it but still unavailable for me.
Same problem here, M1 MacBook Pro 13.3, the icon on tracks shows its playing in Atmos but AirPods Pro dropdown "spatial audio not avalible"

Got the same issue with MacBook Pro M1 (2020) and AirPods 3rd Generation. No Spatial Audio available in Apple Music (Atmos content).
I've been reading. i don't think its available yet. might be in the beta phase still. on apple's page they only mention it works on iPads and iPhones.
never mind it should work on mac but its not.
I agree Rob.its a big feature that most m1 users were excited about.very dissapointing its not working.
