Double clicking on a .cr3 files opens Starry Landscape Stacker. CR3 raw files open properly in Photoshop and Lightroom. Evidently the .cr3 files (Canon''s new raw file) is somehow connected to the Starry Landscape program. How do I fix this?

Right-click on that specific CR3 and select Get Info from the secondary Finder menu. In that panel's Open With section, set it to Photoshop, and click-through the Change All… button prompts.
Thanks to both of you.!! Set it to open with Preview. When double clicked or a series is "opened", preview functions as expected. Don't know how this will affect Starry Landscape Stacker. May have to update but since it a rarely used program I'll deal with that when I need to.
As Starry Landscape Stacker is a rarely used program, just right-click on that CR3 and choose Starry from the list of Open with applications.
Control (right) - click on one of the problem files and select Get Info from the contextual menu.
In the Info pane go to the "Open with" menu and select Photoshop or Library room (whichever is what you want) and then click on the "Change All" button.
