iOS 15.1 Calendar app is laggy and unreliable

They do have people (not all of them male) who are dedicated to the job of passing on complaints and feedback. They are the people who monitor the Feedback page. The people who monitor this form (also not all male) are far, far too busy to do what you want. The team is relatively small and this is one of the largest, busiest forums of its type in the world.

I'm not standing up for Apple. I'm just explaining how things work. You want them to work a different way and it's fine to want that. However, in the world as it actually is right now, complaining here will accomplish nothing other than perhaps some catharsis.

If you mean emails from this thread, no, that wouldn't indicate it was widespread. You've probably gotten four of five notifications that I've posted in this thread, for example, and I don't have this problem. Other people have also posted multiple times. When an iOS problem is widespread, there are scores of very long threads.

It's actually kind of a disadvantage that it's not widespread. If it were, it would get Apple's full attention that much sooner. But, since it's not, you should keep submitting feedback.

How many times do I need to explain that Apple doesn't read here for suggestions or feedback? If you want Apple to know of your "disgust", use the appropriate mechanism:

I have been onto Apple Support. They tried to help me but I pointed out I was one of millions and so not my issue but a basic IoS problem. they confirm that a team is on this working with Google and MSFt to try to resolve it.

Sadly we have to wait.

It’s ridiculous. This has been going on since 15.1 was downloaded in my 12 pro max and I just upgraded me and my wife to a 13 pro max and we are both experiencing the same thing. Freeze on calendar cold start, lagging scrolling and launching of an event selection and it almost always starts on our earliest recorded calendar event….for me 2010. This has nothing to do with hardware or linked accounts and should be old news by now….

All, I installed iOS 15.2 yesterday and the problem still exists. I submitted another bug report to Apple with a video of the problem occurring. Hopefully they fix this soon.

I have a support ticket opened on this. I have included this discussion link. If I hear of a resolution I’ll post back.

So far from what I've gathered, it seems iCloud + Gmail/Google or Exchange calendars cause laggy/un-sync behaviours.

I don't buy it. It my case the exchange server is Microsoft Outlook 365, so hosted by Microsoft. My company IT department advice was don't upgrade to 15.1 as there's nothing we can do about it.

Apple is hopeless! Without responding to this issue, you have basically forced your users to download the Google Calendar app and discovered it is actually better than yours!

I installed MS outlook for using the agenda....

Apple screwed up big time with this update.....

There is no iOS update after 15.1 / 15.1.1 (the last for iPhone 12 and 13 only), so no fix as well.

15.1.1 I have this big too.

MS Exchange and Google calendars, but only in the iOS Calendar other 3rd party Calendar Apps do not have this issue!

A fix and much improved performance is on their way for both iOS and for macOS!

I spent three hours and twenty-three minutes with senior advisors and this issue continued on all the Apple devices I own. No resolution for me with any of the updates released.
