Content of emails very slow to download after up dating to iOS 15. Using safari email on my iPad Pro 11 inch 2020. Have plenty of storage space and my gmail account downloads emails in a flash. Closing and opening the email app does not rectify the issue.

Thanks the solution was installing 15.1 ( surprised that Apple did not notify me or red dot that it was available for installing) 15.1 appears to have corrected a bunch of issues I had with The iPad Pro mail app.
I am having the same issue since updating to iOS 15.1 the email on my mail app used on my iPhone is taking forever to download. I send test emails and they take 10 mins to hit my box and another 5 mins to open. I have deleted the email account and added it again twice as well as deleted my internet history and it is still frustratingly slow. Please help ! I want access to my email on my phone the way it was before - instant!
In my case the content in mail is fast (iPhone X iOS 15.1). If I touch the delete icon while on an email, that will take forever to delete. I just swipe leave the email and swipe from the email list. Way faster that way. It appears most actions within an email message are extremely slow.
For the past week or so, My mail app on both iPad and iphone12 is loading very slowly. I believe iOS version 15.1.1 came out recently out around the same time and that was automatically installed on both devices. Any suggestions?
I’m having same problem. Really slow iPhone mail client on iOS 15.1.1 on new iPhone 13 PRO! But it works normally in gmail (which is my main email server) others having this issue too still after 15.1?

Interesting. The delay just went away. Today. I did nothing…
15.1 has made no difference to my emails downloading..switching on and off the either. Please fix it Apple!!
