Photo library won’t load for screen saver in Monterey

Hooray the photos screensaver is back with update monterey 12.1

To help troubleshoot this behavior, we recommend to restart your Mac in safe mode. This helps to perform a basic check of your startup disk, deletes some system caches and more. Once your Mac is in safe mode, please restart it as normal and see if your photos appear with your screen saver. same with me this happened with big sur and previous upgrades eventually after a week or so it suddenly started to work properly so wait and see and report it to apple

Pictures will not load in Safe Mode from the preview in the screen saver settings even though they can be seen in the settings screen.

After returning to normal mode they still do not appear either in preview or normal screen saver mode.

I am having the same problem with my iMac (27 in, 2017). However, the screen saver is working fine using the same file of images on my MBP (13 in, 2020).

Hi did you ever find a solution? I have the same issue and have given up trying to get a fix out of Apple support.

No, no solution. It's interesting that I have no problem with my macbook pro, only on my iMac.
