Just updated to macOS Moneterey and FCP 10.6 yesterday. Tried using FCP with it today but the loading screen is super super super super slow!!!!!!
I'm connecting a Sandisk Extreme Pro directly to it.
I'm also using a MBP 16: 2019.
Does anybody else face this problem?

Is it the same if you try to open a library on your MBP's internal SSD? From my experience and testing, the problem seems to be use of USB3/TB3 external discs upon which the libraries are hosted.
Using a library on the internal storage seems to be unaffected.
May not be the case for all I expect but that's certainly what I've found for now. Hopefully a bug fix for Monterey will sort it.
All my import files are not transcoding. They get stuck at 4%. Tried deleting them, clearing generated files, rebooting. This Monterey is junk. I have the latest M1Pro. Any work arounds?
Same here. Very slow. I use a MBP 13" M1, 16Gb, 512Gb SSD. It's like I have a slow HDD not a 3500/3500 superfast SSD.
With Big Sur was much faster.
Didn’t for me. Same issue with iMovie and reinstall made zero difference. Still massive long hang times on loading, validating libraries.
I have no plugins but the same issue on M1max
Same here... on a iMac 27 2020... No plug ins... Library is not loading or taking hours to load... We need a fix!
Same here. Everything is working lightning fast like I had grown accustomed to on the M1. Good job Apple but will likely think twice before updating the OS so quickly after release!
I'm not sure what you mean? I'm trying to create proxy after import. Not export. Transcoding us working now but extremely slow.

Didn’t seem to work for me ! I updated to 10.6.1 but still export taking ages. Why on earth is apple doing this !!!
I am on 10.6.1 on M1 Pro and having a wired issue. When I export my video, it kicks out my SSD drive. Very odd. Had to transfer to another drive to export. I did all my editing on the same drive.
Same issue here! I sent a report to Apple and no response yet!!! Opening libraries is very slow and FCP crashes frequently.

10.6.1 I think it is Monterey related. I just updated. Intel Macbook pro 2020.
I have a 4k, 60fps video that is 29 minutes long. I am exporting as an Apple 4k file to my 2TB ssd. So far, it has taken 2 hours and is not even 25% finished. This is ridiculous. Using 10.6.1.
