Just updated to macOS Moneterey and FCP 10.6 yesterday. Tried using FCP with it today but the loading screen is super super super super slow!!!!!!
I'm connecting a Sandisk Extreme Pro directly to it.
I'm also using a MBP 16: 2019.
Does anybody else face this problem?

Continuing the above report, I should have said that I am using a 27" iMac with 24 Gb Ram and 2 Tb SSD. All the asset is held on the SSD, so there is no possible delay to be blamed on any separate HDD.
So this issue is slowly spreading and more and more people are facing this issue! I'm trying to finish up a project, and the loading time is really killing me!!!!!! UGHHHH! Apple really have to resolve this issue ASAP because it's affecting a lot of people's workflow!
How can we bring this up directly to Apple? I talked to an Apple advisor the other day, but seems like this issue is getting bigger and out of hand and it's affecting a lot of FCP users and their workflow. It's very frustrating not to be able to work properly...
Well I'm glad it is working for you! I am using 10.6.1 and have just completed 10 minutes of multi-cam editing. After two hours of waiting the transcoding is still stuck on 6%, so not right yet as far as I can see.
There is definitely some type of SSD issue with FCPX! I have a Sabrent rocket 2TB and it keeps ejecting it soon as I try to export any project. Loads fine. Very weird. Doesn't do it to Samsung SSD.

Thanks for that thought Braam. I do have 2 separate HDD's which I was normally using until I bought this iMac with 2 Tb Fusion drive. After your comments I'll give serious thought to going back to using the HDD
Exactly the same here. All library loading times went up crazy. 15 Minutes and more. Before it was 30 seconds.

Nope. Also happens with the internal SSD. I have the luxury of a super fast internal 2tb SSD and it is slow as **** with FCP since upgrading to Monterey
No, old iMac without T2 also has the issue. External drive.
Same issues on my new MacBook Pro 14" 16 Gb RAM 1Tb SDD! Very slow opening big libraries and big projects!!! No external plugins! Only Monterey + Final Cut 10.6!

It’s not just FCP either, the same issue is happening with iMovie. 🤔
