Forticlient VPN stopped working no macOS Monterey

Forticlient VPN was working normally on macOS Big Sur and after upgrading to Monterey it stopped working. When trying to login it keeps connecting and then the error appears: Connection Error! VPN connection terminated unexpectedly! (Error Code: -121)

Forticlient error: "Internal error. VPN status observer is already set." I'm trying to get my work VPN working on a new Mac Mini (M1, 2021) running Mac OS 12.6. When I try to connect with Forticlient free VPN software, I am asked for the token digits and can get through that, but then I get a message: "Internal error. VPN status observer is already set." This does not happen on my 2015 MacBook Pro also running Mac OS 12.6. So it's not an operating system problem. I also did a reinstall of Mac OS on the new Mac Mini and that did not fix the problem. Also, since I can access the VPN using the MacBook Pro and my iPad, the issue is not my personal account. Anyone else see this message and know what it could be about? One potential clue: in setting up the Mac Mini, I used Migration Assistant to transfer data from a 2013 iMac running Catalina. It's possible some bad files are buried in the system--any suggestions for a good uninstaller (better than the Fortinet uninstaller) or what should be deleted?

FortiClient VPN connection drops-machine specific 3 months ago I got a new M1 Mac Mini now running Mac OS Ventura 13.1. Every time I use FortiClient to connect to my work VPN, the connection will randomly drop after a different amount of time each time. Sometimes it is within 30 minutes, sometimes it is after 2-3 hours. This is not a function of the built-in dropping after idle time--I could be actively typing and the connection will just drop. I do not have this problem on my M2 MacBook Air, so this is a machine-specific issue--not related to the VPN or my account, etc. I have tried doing a clean reinstall of the FortiClient software, and still experience this problem. I installed the FortiClient software exactly the same way I installed it on my MacBook Air, so there shouldn't be an issue with configurations or access to directories and so on. Can anyone think of anything to test? Is it possible to run the VPN in Safe Mode on a Mac? The only other software running during an active connection is the usual stuff--Safari, Mail, Pages, etc. There isn't any resource-intensive process running that might interfere with the connection. I use Microsoft Remote Desktop for the VPN connection. I don't think this is what's causing the issue, but any input welcome. Ideas welcome. Thanks!

VPN IkeV2 Hi, I am trying to create a new vpn connection on my new Macbook pro. And I receive a strange error. I have create a IKEv2 setup and we are using username and password. It is also possible to authenticate with a certificate but i am not using it right now. When I press the connect button. I receive the following error: A unexpecte error occured the console log says: nw_interface_create_with_name(ipsec0) failed -[NWInterface initWithInterfaceName:] nw_interface_create_with_name(ipsec0) failed Now what? Bug?

Download Mozilla and use this browser instead of Safari. It worked for me.
