Quicklook isn't working after Monterey update

Hello, yesterday I installed Monterey on my Air M1, but quicklook isn't working after the update.

I have to kill the process several times a day in Activity Monitor.

Is there any way to fix this?

Relaunching the Finder solved this for me as well. Hold down the option key and the control key, then click on the Finder icon in the dock, and then choose Relaunch. (I'm on an M1 Pro 14" MacBook Pro running Monterey 12.0.1.

Ok, look what I did (So far solved). I was reading looking for some solution and I found this:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262

There is a part that says: “It also does a basic check of your startup disk, similar to using First Aid in Disk Utility. And it deletes some system caches, including font caches and the kernel cache, which are automatically created again as needed. "

So I gave it a try and after restart the problem was solved.

However I reinstalled the cleanmymac just to test if it was the problem, but the problem with the quicklook did not reappear.

I'm NOT a fan of cleanmymac, understanding what you say I'm not going to use it again, but since I have an MBA, my main disk is low on space, so I ask you if there is a disk monitor or something similar, or do you recommend don't install anything additional and manually view it in “About this Mac”?

By the way, excuse my English, I do the best I can.

Hi all frustrated quicklook users :-). Here is a link to a post which worked for me on my iMac late 2017 and my MacBookPro M1 Max. Hope this will also work for you too:

I know, and others don't.

This is not unusual. It is a matter figuring out what is different. CMM is one such thing, others may have antivirus, etc.

Many of the problems people are having with Monterey come down to either stuff like this, or older software that is not fully compatible. It is so easy to upgrade that some people have been doing it for years, never doing a clean install. That can lead to old stuff that suddenly breaks.

• Hi, I had this problem too but I solved it by doing the following:
Open the Activity monitor
• Search for "quick"
• The Finder icon and name should pop up as a drop-down menu
• Open it
• Force quit the element "QuickLookUIService (Finder)" inside
Then you should be able to use quicklook feature like before!

Yes, I did, but it is a temporary solution, after a while quicklook stops working.
